Sean Devine socre 22 goals for Wycombe in one season at our le3vel. That one was right and he would have been superb with Robbie Blake who peters told me wouldn't make it at a higher level.
I'd have George Freind in tomorrow.
Nick Ward would have been superb in our team. he would have been the playmaker. He was superb at QPR untiil Gregory fell out with him and that was it.
Signing on a young Parillon and giving him a go was low risk.
Come on chaps hit me wtih some real failures. Something akin to 32 year old "Goals on Legs" Bennett who turned out to be "Misser on a zimmerframe."

Why did no-one aside from Wycombe and Barnet (L2) take a punt on him? For the record, around that time in 94 - 96, i rated Sean Devine quite a bit.
Why has no-one taken a punt on Nick Ward since?
Parrilon looked to have something in his locker but obviously not enough.

problem is Andrew, Devine went nowhere and had a nothing above a lower league career - no managers shared your view of him.
The more interesting cases are those players you touted as great, who PNE looked at and decided against who went elsewhere and were a big success.
Help us out, could you list them for us?

Womble I will later on but I'll give you all thechance to complie your evidence first. Go right ahead.
One just to get you going Joe Hart who was at lowly Shrewsbury. His development happened right under the nose of ex-PNE manager Peters.

Instead of telling us who you have already called 'spot on', please do tell who are the future starlets we should snap up?

He either gets it completely wrong, or picks out someone already highly rated like Charlie Austin. I'm sure he'll be telling us all that we could have signed Austin for £10k. Just like we should have beaten QPR to Akos Buzaky, etc, etc, etc. Yawn!

Let's make this easier for you. I didn't recommend him BUT I would have gone along with the gamble of signing Hibbert for £80K so I'll agree to take the hit on that one.
So far I make that Spring and Hibbert.
