Voldemort's Return

Voldemort's Return

Joey PNE why don't you copy and paste up the appropriate posts ?

Here we go again. Clearly Joey old boy you haven't been able to articulate what has been going wrong. Most of the responses on here are just a few lines all of which doesn't promote a detalied analysis of just what is happening.

As for King being worse than Brown, Parkin, Mellor and co.? The lad, as with Carroll at the time when you were no doubt calling for his head, has not had much chance to prove himself yet or has that one escaped your attention. For you to ascribe any creedence to Brown and Parkin protrays you as a buffoon. In fact that makes you well at home with the circus that has become Preston North End.

I wanted Mellor to go as well BUT my priorites would have been to clear out Brown and Parkin first meaning I would have stuck with Mellor for the time being. We turned down a £350K bid from Barnsley for Parkin who will now leave us in the summer for absolutely nothing. It just gets worse. Tell me hot head why haven't you pointed that one out or were you taken in with Fergy describing Parkin as "unplayable ?" Yes he was for a few games but then we all, apart from you, knew he would soon revert to type.

Finally you are somewhat selective with your memory Joey. Wise after the event you say. I identified what was happening years ago under the disastrous reigns of Simpson and Irvine. You were told at the time what trouble was brewing but you wouldn't listen. Well now it's all come home to haunt the lot of you.

As for BSK ? He's been proven absolutely right about Ferguson and absolutley wrong about Irvine. It was the latter who basically finished us off and his biggest mstake of the lot was rejecting Charlie Adam when Kenny Moyes had flown to Austria to complete the deal.

Is Michael Appleton good enough or experienced enough to get us out of this mess.

One thing for sure Darren Ferguson sadly is not good enough and after 46 games it is time to call it a day. A lot of us were excited by his appointment especially with the players from Utd that we could borrow but sadly it hasn't worked out and changes need to be made.

Rooster has no experience and no credability and that is a worry. Fergies tactics are inept and no where to be seen. Teams and other managers have sussed us out and so too have the majority of us sat in the stands, its all too simple and what really is annoying is that we can see it and have seen it for a lot of games.

I would probably go for Phil Brown because Martin O'Neill will go into the premiership. The man with the best credentials is Gary Megson but he comes over as being so miserable.

I want to see football return. I am that fed up that even when we score i don;t jump up and I cannot remember the last time I felt that bad.

But at least you got your wish with Danny Mayor and Josh King getting game-time. How inspired you were with that one !!!

And proctor was also tipped to be leading our front line so i presume he ripped league 2 a new one with his loan spell? 😕

As I said in another thread there is only one real contender for the PNE job should Fergie get fired and that is Eddie Howe. However he turned down Southampton so it looks like he would be a no starter. This being the case I would seriously be looking at Appleton, or Grezza, or maybe both. Add Gregan as coach and you'd have the hardest management team in football 🙂.

Prestons footballing weekend ends at an all time low as our 'self appointed leader' returns.
Voldemort (he knows it all you know) Ring.
Didn't I see you applauding old Maurice at Kirkham whilst gently sweeping back your blonde rinse? I think I did.

Welcome back Voldemort.

Your diagnosis is a bit depressing, but the situation is depressing. Yesterday's stumbling and negative fare just strengthened my view that we need a change of management and probably a big influx of personnel if we are to get out of this. The latter looks unlikely and the club's owner appears to have set his face against the former.

We need about 35 more points, which suggests around 9 wins and a sprinkling of draws. We've three big hurdles to overcome :

a) three out of the next four away from home, and without our best player for a couple of them ;

b) three more games following on in a matter of days, two of which are against rivals at the bottom - this will test what looks a thin squad ; and

c) a nighmareish spell from late February through to mid-April when we play loads of the stronger teams

If we can get through these and pick up just a steady trickle of points it will maybe give us a platform for January and February which I think is our best opportunity to advance. But I'm not hopeful.

Its a poor do when it takes a lasher fan to analyse our situation so well.

Which experienced managers ? You can forget all of the following :

Phil Brown, Paul Jewell, Gary Megson, Alan Pardew. Every last one of them a clown.

Only one man can save us and he is Micky Appleton who would "walk to Deepdale to assume control." Lindsay et al should know what his personal situation is. They should also be aware that HE is the man behind WBA's success. If we move NOW he just might be able to save us. If not then as I've stated we are down.

I don't disagree with most of the stuff you've written about Ferguson but that is simply laughable.

With regards David Unsworth, Steve Cotterill was singing his praises yesterday on SKY with regards the extra time and work he put into developing Jay Rod @ Burnley when he was there.

Maybe Unsworth does have a talent but one thats with the youths, not with the First XI.

Just my observation.

And was it not that role he was brought to the club to do.

It was Alan Irvine that brought him here to work closely with the youth's and help them to bridge the gap from the youth team to the first team.

Unfortunately he only worked in that role for a couple of months before Ferguson got rid of that position, promoted him to first team coach, and threw the youngsters straight in at the deep end.

What a clueless clown!

If, as you suggest, the youngsters were thrown straight in at the deep end, then is it not better that they are assisted by a Coach who they know and trust?
