Allegedly big chums with vodka shot Adam and there is talk of that lot with the tower sniffing after him🙁

Bring back the Gentry:gentry:

I hope I don't have to wait 25 years before we get another player who can take a free kick like Wallace.

What odds are we to get relegated btw?

No he was the first player we had for 15 years who could actually strike a ball properly!

Wallace's stunner at Reading was actually very similar to Parky's at Watford but he's got a bit more in his locker than just being able to pagger it.

I also like the fact that he's a nasty wind-up merchant. Footballers seem to be far too pally these days.

so everyone has sold their shares to an almost billionaire for just 5p each so he can sell arguably our best player to our rivals on the cheap.

Dont worry, your mate will still be sat just in front of you and youll still be able to chat in the great room.

he has to be worth £1.25m/£1.5m plus add ons even with our financial situation, it would be a dreadful move selling him.
I think its just 'paper' or that footie transfer talk to be honest

Had something like 11/12 departures since the end of the season inc 2 in the last few days with no incoming to add on to last years squad...

I think things will be different this season.

Other than Barnsley, Norwich and Peterborough, and a few others the lower leagues have been relatively quiet all summer. It cant all be the World Cup

I'm getting the words "half a million pounds plus add ons", but don't quote me on that. Well not yet anyways!!

I'm also getting the words "almost done deal".

Not massive wages either.

I'm presuming Fergie doesn't get on with Wallace?

The reason we are selling him is because a) Ferguson can't sign anybody until we sell... b) Because Wallace is on ridiculous wages that lured him away from Prem Sunderland to us... these wages got us into this financial mess and Shaw was the man to agree to these terms.... c) We still need the money as we are still in debt from spending more than we could afford under Shaw, meaning that our best players were sold and shit players with high wages (ie. Elliott) were signed because this were apparently the solution for our financial mess even though in the long term it made the clubs state on and off the pitch worse. So in hindsight we might as well have kept our best players (Nugent and co.) as in the long run we've wasted the transfer money on ridiculous wages on shit players! Add that to the fact that Shaw appointed 2 disastrous managers in a row that didn't bring in any saleable assets and that also didn't help our financial state. Wallace is only one of our best players because our team atm is shite! We've had so many better players in the past that have been 10x the player of Wallace and we've sold under Shaw. But I bet you and the ream team were saying that it were for the best of the club and Shaw would rather not sell these players if he didn't have to but he loves the club too much... 🙄

And Coutts, SSL, Lonergan are all arguably better than Wallace; with Jones on par.

Actually thinking about it, I didn't even think Wallace was our best winger towards the end of the season. I went to the Coventry game, where Mayor looked class and were tearing their defence apart whilst Wallace just stood in the same position losing the ball and arguing. Also Treacy looked better than him towards the end....

Mayor and his zero assists, zero goals. Wonderful.

He's a talented lad, but if you put the world on his shoulders, he'll break.

How am I putting the world on his shoulders?
I'm only saying his attitude, work rate and skill was much better than Wallace's last season. Its not the end of the world if Wallace leaves is what I'm saying. We could even replace him with another player with the money he'd bring in (Boyd is on his last year contract with P'Boro, we've been linked with him before, Fergie links, Forest aren't interested and Boyd is desperate to play at a higher level - who knows, we could even get him?)

Very much hope this is the process.
