Jordan out of contract so officially a free agent so any deal would not involve him as he isn't our player now. Clarke Carlisle agreed a new contract in May so it won't be him either.

Re Jordan and Nugent, how can Burnley involve a player in a 'cash plus player' deal if said player isn't even Burnley's to exchange?

Will be absolutely stunned if it is Clarke, purely because he has just signed a new contract with the manager. Even Brian Laws isn't as bad at man management as that would suggest, sell the club and its future to a player to get him to sign a new contract, then include him in a cash plus player deal TWO MONTHS LATER!?!?!?

Laws is bad, he isn't THAT bad...

Cant think of anyone thats realistically part of the deal that I would want from that lot. Jordan is crap from what I have seen. And is out of contract so cant be him. Unless its Jay Rodriguez. Might want a move with Brian Laws the football genius seemingly after so many strikers.

Pato, another who has just signed a new contract. With your guesses people, try and be a bit more realistic.

Off the top of my head, if a player is involved, you will be looking at someone on the periphery so that would suggest the unearthed footballing God that is Brian Easton (I have a tissue if you need to mop yourself up Voldemort), Edgar, Eckersley, possibly even McDonald at a push.

Maybe's he's coming home? 😉

Burnley first team squad players are likely to be on wages far higher than we can afford unless one is coming on loan with subsidised wages (a la Mellor to SW)

Not true, I believe they had clauses in their contracts meaning that they got a payrise if they went up but returned to their old wages if they came back down. Players like McDonald, Edgar, Rodriguez etc will be well within our reach financially.
