I think the team will be more than likely the same as it was on friday night.
We must make changes.

This is probably true, except he may put Elliot in for Mellor.

Then its all over as I see it...come on Al lets be inventive and get some pace into the side.

Disagree, Sheff U will be the ones changing it up- we'll actually be able to play through the midfield and not over it.
Whaley is shite.
I can see Wallace being the key in this game. He had no space in the home leg with their 5 men in midfield, hopefully it will be different tomorrow night.
And about our strike partnership, I don't have a clue if I'm honest 😕. Definetely don't want to see Mellor starting, I'd probably start Brown but not sure who with. Elliott does the running but he's too lightweight for their defence. Not sure about Parkin, didn't seem to do much against them on friday, it's a tough one but we need to do something different from friday, that's for sure.
What about 5 in midfield?

We need to proactive in team selection...if we play the same formation and personnel we will be blown away, Alan Irvine needs to be inventive with his selection and throw a spanner into Blackwells plans.
I would drop Sedge, Mellor, Carter and Parkin. In would come Whaley, Nicholson, Brown and Chilvers.
SSL would partner Macca in midfield, Chilvers and Youl at the back, Nicholson and Wallace on the wings and Brown and Whaley up front. Whaleys pace must be used to run at there back four with a shoot on sight policy. I would put Danny mayor on the bench. Am I going mad....your thoughts please.
are you mad??
why would you bring in chilvers..he hasnt played a first team game in over a year and we are 90 mins from the final, your saying move SSL from defence..Crazy!
I think it will be a different game on Monday- Sheff U will be a lot more open, and we'll actually be able to play football, rather than just hoof it.
I think you're spot on, HL. I fully expect us to play a lot better in a style that suits us more. I would say drop Sedgwick for sure, but I'm not sure it's gonna happen 🙄
It's so finely poised that making wholesale changes to the squad has the real potential to damage our momentum, which is something AI really needs to preserve - it's our best chance of winning.

The only changes I would make are Brown on for Mellor, and Whaley (yes Whaley) to be introduced for Sedgwick early in the second half. We need to weather the storm from them in the first 30 minutes ro so, and need Sedgwicks defensive qualities.. I was actually impressed with what Carter offered, perhaps because it was such a big step up from what we usually see from him, so I'd keep him in.
I think the game changed when Beattie came on for them, and then Lupoli. He offered something different to Henderson who we really dealt with fairly well. Yes the goal was scored before either change was made but we were caught cold. I wasn't impressed with them in the first half.
Can't really think of much more we can, or need to do. Davidson, Chilvers and Hart clearly aren't match fit and can't be risked in a game of such importance, so we should go with this:
Lonergan
Jones Mawene St. Ledger Nolan
Sedgwick McKenna Carter Wallace
Parkin Brown
They won't play 5 in midfield at home, so hopefully we can get Wallace on the ball running at their full back a bit more often.
We can do this, if we survive the first 30 minutes without conceding, their heads will start to drop, the fans will get on their backs, and I fully believe we can nick a goal.

Whats more I'd play Eddie Nolan in place of Billy Jones and Callum Davidson at left back.Billy has been poor for 2 months. He seems tired to me.
This just strengthens my belief that we should have kept Grezza for a couple more seasons !!!!!
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but Grezza has been brilliant for Burnley this season........

Grezza lost it at right back. His lack of pace led to him being constantly skinned. I think that's why we sold him. Simpson was imaginative enough to see Grezza as anything but a RB.
Does this suggest changes?"I think our players will relish the opportunity to play at Bramall Lane and the ones who get picked will be the lucky ones."
