What is going on at the top?

When Derek left and the new chairman was appointed I said I was concerned, and was shot down by many on here, saying that I was having a go becuase Derek is my mate, it now is starting to look like Derek must be mates with half of Preston as many on here seem to be voicing the same concerns, can I just take this oppertunity to say that the foundation for my concerns where that Derek ran a tight ship, TJH got more involved, throwing money at the club signing player after player that the manager wanted regardless of what the cost was, and the club got into financial difficulty, Derek did what he said he would do and stood down when somebody wanted to buy the club, however, as far as I see it the man who has bought the club, is the man who is directly resonsible for us being in this situation in the first place, it is now his responsibility to get us out of it, the big question is, is he trying to get us out of it or just trying to get his cash back? I relly, hope I'm wrong and this coming season turns out to be our promotion year, but from what i have seen so far I remain very concerned.
 
Fergie has been told he has very little for transfers but whatever is raised via sales goes into the transfer pot.

Lonnergan is not irreplaceable

Wallace isnt neither.

As long as decent money is made and another high earner is off the books it can only be for the good of the club.

One thing for certain is that come the end of the season if things havent gone well fergie will have nowhere to hide as it will be his team and his players.

Fingers crossed this change will re light north ends fans and ambitions.

Well that's hardly likely is it? This season is about getting ourselves on a level footing, it's not about going for promotion. Also, stop shifting all the blame on to Hemmings. Derek is just as culpable. I doubt Irvine was going direct to Hemmings asking for money was he? He had to go through your mate to get that.

Ive heard it all now! And no use blaming Hemmings, if Shaw didnt agree with it he could have resigned there and then, no he stayed didnt he? Not that his salary had anything to do with it though!

anyone would think derek wasnt chairman, and that he hasnt admitted he went begging to Hemmings for money to save us from relegation.

One thing that people seem to be overlooking is that Wallace is a shirking, angry little fucking waste of space, and Lonergan is shit.

Easily replaceable, for less money and for less wages.

i disagree with wallace, but it doesnt matter one jot. We are fucking skint and the squad clearly wasnt working.

Fresh start, sort the expendituure out, and if we go down. So fucking what. at least we're solvent.

Hells Teeth, I have read it all now.

I have never doubted Derek's commitment and effort, however one thing that is becoming increasingly obvious is that the club's finances have been mis managed.

Derek and the board made a terrible mistake in employing Paul Simpson. Derek therefore had to go cap in hand to Mr Hemmings to get money to pay him off, and even then we were still left with the jokers that where Kelly and Barr.

Hemmings had to support Irvine to keep us in this league, he then had trust in DEREK's appointment and supported him by signing the players he required. However the board of the club, clearly felt that "the bank of hemmings" would pay what ever, and gave out silly contracts, to shit players.

The financial mess we are in, is Derek and the boards fault, and trying to pass the blame onto Hemmings is a fucking joke!

Derek's silence has been deafening, he always stated that he was doing it for the "love of the club", aye and the /£150,000 a year salary eh Derek 😉 Not to mention rent from the legends building.

Yes, it is disapointing that we are having sell our assets, but at least we still have a football club, and I for one, am looking forward to seeing us to put out a team that shows a bit of pride, and players who actually want to play for us.

A few more signings and will we have a good season.

Agreed. Wallace, Lonergan, St Ledger and Parkin were/are all on high wages and could be replaced by players at least as good on much lower wages. There would also be several million coming into the club for transfer fees and only a low percentage of that would be needed to buy these new players. An even lower percentage if some of the new players come in on loan.

None of those above 4 were great shakes last season.

what i find ludicrous is when derek didnt spend, BTKW justified the decision by saying Shaw would never mortgage the clubs future.

Then it became clear that we were spending, soem were concerned, and was BTKW showing his concern about Hemmings involvment? NO. he was too busy justifying Shaws decisions by telling us all how it showed real ambition and how we were pushing for promotion.

Then, when everything went tits up and we needed bailing out, none of the spending was dereks fault at all. It turns out he was just some puppet of hemmings (how thats meant to paint a flattering picture of him mind, I dont actually know. Way to cast doubt over his ability to run a football club while defending him dickhead!).





Take one part hypocrisy, one part stupidity, mix with the vigorousness of a BTKW frap off while thinking of Shaw, and you too can become an award winning, deluded prick.

To be fair Jaymo, it is not just boggers that is saying the same spiel, it is all Derek's cronies. It is almost like Derek is using them as his PR agents, but surely he would never ask his mates to come on the forum and justify his actions eh 😉

Tony, I'm not sure if you watched any games last season?

What I saw was the most complacent work-shy prima donnas this club has ever had the misfortune to assemble. And I can honestly say there isn't one player I would cry over if they got sold.

I remember being sick to the pit of my stomach when Nugent went. With each new outgoing announced this week I only feel relief. Pray to God Carter, Chaplow and Elliott will follow soon.

The players who can command decent fees are probably the ones who were least to blame for last season's shambles. Lonergan St Ledger Wallace have and will all get decent money. So this makes great business sense. And from their personal perspective they'll probably end up with higher wages - so everyone is happy.

And, for us, they are all completely and straightforwardly replaceable by players who will cost half as much and play on half their wages. And I dare say with the hunger and passion to become part of a 'team' to make us proud again.

Someone else said where's the major signing who is going to get us excited. I don't want a signing who's going to get me excited. I want a team to.

Ship em out. Start again.

It cannot be worse than last season. We were seriously dire. Unless you forget?

Supporters deserve to be told diddly squat. We do, however, deserve a team that actually turns up on match days.

I'm only voicing my concerns, I doubt there is anyone who wants us to be successful more than I do, my first game was home to the scum in the 69/70 season when the sent us down, and it's been my lifelong ambition to see us in the top flight, I've never said Derek got everything right, I just hope that people on heres new blind acceptance doesn't come back to bite us all on the arse.

We all agreed the players that we have sold or released or sent out on loan were all gash anyway.

Selling Wallace, Lonners and SSL were surely the only way we were ever going to make serious money?

We dont know what TH is up to, but having taken a hit of what, £30m on the Blackpoo Tower fiasco I am sure that he wouldnt be that arsed about £14m from PNE?

Who knows?

It's gonna be an uphill challenge next season and the sooner people realise that then hopefully the better the support will be!

You arent voicing concerns, you are doing the one thing you (wrongly) vehemently criticised others for doing. using this website to highlight your agenda against the club.

The only acceptance is that we need to shed the weight that has been holding us down FFS. I cant believe people are being criticised by others for giving new people a chance.
