'Move Bruce, you absolute stiff!' was one of my Dad's favourite heckles on the paddock back in the day. Towards the end of Alex's career, I might add...as a kid used to watch the first team one week and then went on the stiffs when they were playing away.

Quite. A brief aside: when I was 13 I wrote to North End and asked to be shown round the ground (pre internet etc obvs). What we would give for a Bruce at the moment
Got a reply asking me to go along.
Said 'tour' which was more like me and my mate wandering around the ground and changing rooms unsupervised, grabbing autographs of Micky Baxter etc and that included seeing Brucie pouring tea after training in the 'nuddy'.
Quite startling.
John McMahon walked about just shouting 'TITS' all the time.
All very surreal and very North End.
North End memories are always crystal clear, I find. More's the pity.

rumour has it one or two of the players may turn up for a change
I am visiting Preston this week and going on with my son. Expecting everything to be grim from the footy to the weather but hey, supporters support.
Long gone…..Can you remember those Friday nights when you were filled with excitement and expectation for the game on Saturday…..🤔🤔🤔
Watching Middlesbrough taking Bolton to the cleaners. See what can be achieved if you have an owner like Gibson, who has nowhere near the wealth of the Hemmings who puts the money in and invests in quality to produce football that we can only dream about. Sick of Ridsdale telling us we must be eternally grateful to the Hemmings for lack of investment and bestowing utter shite players on us. Thank you NOT.I will be going but I have absolutely no expectations that we will get a result.
The weather may have a bearing on the game.
But whatever GA does he just doesn’t have the resources to be be able to compete, scoring 0 doesn’t help win games.
The fans have been massively let down by the powers that be at the club, we can go through lots of issues but the simple fact that our attacking capability is Kenny and Erabi after losing Dobbin, Jebbison, Osmajic, Keane and Smith should mean we are all entitled to our money back on season tickets.
I have as in the past put off other things to watch PNE but after this Saturday I fear that is likely to change.
What a sad state of affairs, but unless there are major incomings in January going to Deepdale will be a painful experience for the rest of this season.

Are you kidding. At my age I can only vaguely remember yesterday. 😀😎
Middlesbrough taking Bolton apart, got to hope West Brom don't do the same to us tomorrow..🥴Watching Middlesbrough taking Bolton to the cleaners. i appreciate the gag, very goodPlayed a good game.

You look at Rovers with Jack Walker, Dave Whelan at Wigan, Steve Gibson at Middlesbrough and all are revered and Gibson will be when he eventually passes the baton. The Hemmings worth more than them all are going to be looked on as barely keeping the light on during there tenure and achieving a play off promotion from league 1 getting us back to where we were.Watching Middlesbrough taking Bolton to the cleaners. Don't be sarky 🤣i appreciate the gag, very good
It’s highly likely. After watching Boro I’m convinced Borgzoid or whatever his name is cannot be a Boro player. Have we cocked up again and got a loan of a groundsman or bog cleaner. Worrying times !Middlesbrough taking Bolton apart, got to hope West Brom don't do the same to us tomorrow..🥴
