Not sure why you would even look at his previous spell with us when thinking if he would be a good signing. It was that long ago and he was just a young up and coming kid finding his feet and game.

Like expecting Nugent when he resigned to be player he was in his first spell

TBF, he did look like a bit of a prima donna back then with the gloves and all that.
However, unlike a lot of the elite academy type kids who start off at Clubs that they will never really play for, he's obviously knuckled down since leaving United(?) and not only had a proper decent career but shown himself to be of a good Championship Standard.
He seems to be at his peak now and has made a massive difference to how we look as a Team going forward.
He's turned out to be a cracking signing.
I still can't believe that he is 31 - where does the time go!!

Given our XG, I would put a pretty hefty bet Will Keane would have one of the best conversion rates of all the strikers in Europe. I know that sounds mad but I can't imagine there's many guys out there getting so few chances to score and yet scoring so many. He's just brilliant. His movement and reading of the game show why you need an old one up there.

Gallagher was a different player when back as well.

A striker not fast enough to play beyond the defence. not good enough in the air to be a target. But great skill, touch and accuracy.

He still didn't have a proper position when we signed him the second time. just putting him left wing so we could use his quality.

He probably should have gone DM quarterbacking a few years earlier. As never had much pace to lose

Stoke forced a rivalry with Arsenal for a few years. Wenger vs Pulisball.
I’d like Port Vale to stay up. That Potteries derby is a belter

No mention of his injury recently I less I've missed it?

Last is aw about Mads being back, Brady and Potts got a mention but nothing on Keane?
