What was the season and opposing team (and if you can remember the score) and your age of the very first time you went to a North End game, home or away?

Preston 1-1 Fulham - 02/12/2000

I don't think this was the first game I ever attended, but it was the first one I went on just with mates and so it's the one that sticks out in the memory.

January 1973, a night match, think a Monday, it was a replay in the FA Cup v Grimsby Town.
Front row of the West stand, we lost 1-0, and I remember George Ross missing a penalty.

I was 11 yrs old, and been hooked ever since!!!

March/April 1965 v Norwich home.
Was queueing with my dad outside town end when we scored early.

Final score PNE 1 Norwich 3 ...... Good preparation for the next sixty years tbh. What you gonna do though support the canaries?

Is that the game Willie Irvine scored within 15 seconds, I was on that game but thought it was later than 1965.

Pretty sure it was 1965 v Bury, and I think Alex Dawson scored. I can't remember the score. But I do remember that from then on I was a Northender. Favourite player of the time was between Dawson & Godfrey.

Absolutely no idea. My dad used to take me on as a 2 year old but no idea what my first game was.

I know my first away game was a 3-1 win away at Gigg Lane in 1999/2000 season. I vaguely remember one of the goals was scored by us charging down their keeper.

This is all making me feel very old. Mine was (I believe) the last game of the 1960/61 season against West Brom. No idea of the score just remember how enormous the players looked as I pressed against the blue railings stood on cinders.

I had thought for 40 odd years that I had never seen North End on the top flight then I read a book by a local author (Rigby?) on our history and found reference to that match. Unlikely to see us in the top flight again. Not much for 64 year of watching is it, one game?

I'm impressed people can remember so well. I have a fish brain for my younger years so all I know is it would've been late 90s. Although I was only a child and was just a handful of games I was taken to at a young age as none of my family are Preston fans so was more just a day out of something to do. But my dad took me to the playoff finals despite not being much of a football fan himself.

First season ticket however was 06/07, going on my own when I was 13.
