Not surprising though is it in one of the most controlled states on the planet?

You can also receive a criminal record for being drunk in stadia which.......sells fucking alcohol!

Although I agree that we live in an overprotective nanny state, the examples you give are poor.

You mention that you can get arrested for being drunk in a football stadium. Nobody minds people having a drink, but when they get out of hand and start acting like a prick, then the coppers get involved. The same applies for restaurants and theatres etc. It's not exclusive to football. In fact, it's not exclusive to the UK either. You would get arrested in the USA for doing the same thing there.

Thanks Randall Flagg your post makes more sense than Holy Bore's...I like to have a drink but nothing annoys me more than a pissed up person getting on everyone's nerves and making a complete tit of themselves and spoiling everyone else's pleasure. Some people just never know when to stop and then it spoils it for others. If you want to get pissed up and be a dick just stay in a pub is the simplest of answers. I don't pay to go and watch a footy game or any other entertainment, to be sat next to someone who can't control what they say nevermind their bladder 😱
The rules of entering a football stadium include the fact that you shouldn't be drunk...simple as.
