It would appear that Nolan, Carter, Hart, Chaplow, Mellor, Collins and Elliott are training with the youth / reserves this morning.
 
so who's left in the first team then?

Henderson
Lonergan
Jones
St Ledger
Davidson
Wallace
Treacy
James? (as yet no confirmation)
Coutts
Mayor
Parry? (Is he fit yet?)
Heyes
Parkin
Brown? (is he fit to train?)

Unless Barton et al are training with the first team it doesn't leave us with much in terms of a squad. But that squad is nowhere near good enough - where are the '8' or so players coming in? It's not as easy as Voldemort makes out is it - i.e. get rid Collins = £500K who the hell are gonna buy these workshy fops?
 
It's completely ridiculous to be ostracising players with such a small squad - and equally ridiculous not to expect this to have a devastating effect on morale and team spirit as those amongst Ferguson's chosen few see how some of their fellow players are being treated. We may well be left with several of the transferlisted players come 7th August and be paying their wages so why not keep them in the squad and on-side until such time as we can actually move them on? Chaplow, Mellor and Nolan in particular didn't deserve to be sidelined in the first place - can we really afford to be doing this when our first team squad is so thin? No wonder we're not playing Bamber Bridge and Chorley on the same night this year!

I agree with the players getting "bombed out". Best thing for them, they've no future here.

It may be that with the change of chairman DF needs to discuss deals and players again so it may take more time. And the transfer embargo didn't help
 
I'm all for this. I've said all along we need to get the players all working in the same direction and generate a team spirit akin to Burnley and Blackpool in their relative promotion seasons. It only takes a few arseholes to ruin this so if these guys aren't working for the manager,fuck them.

Also, we're talking about transfer listed players on very big wedges. Lads who, on last seasons evidence, certainly care more about their bank balances than having a successful career. The only way we are really going to shift them is by making the rest of their stay as uncomfortable, difficult and pointless as possible. Even mega bucks Carter may think "fuck this for a life, I'll take that pay cut to join Reading/QPR/some other gullable tossers".

Harsh, but, after last season, totally fair. Well played Darren.

Totally agree 100%. If Carter or Chaplow know that the most they are going to get elsewere is £7k a week and they are on £10k here then they need to be forced out. I'm sorry but I can't feel sorry for them.

This is good news, and just in-case there was any doubt in the shirkers minds that they are not wanted, they now know.

They would be a bad influence on the rest of the squad, and I agree with Ferguson on this one.

You want to see the UK. You decide a Hymer motorhome is your best method of doing this.

You then see the cost of these monsters. They're £60, £70k. You then decide that getting a tent is your only option - even a second hand caravan is out of your reach.

Then you see Chaplow, Carter, Elliot. These lads who don't give two brown slimy ones about North End, and they need only play with the reserves for a few weeks, then warm the bench - and they earn a Hymer.

So, who's paying for that? Us. Hemmings. Money we don't have.

I don't feel sorry for Green either, he's on £30k a week. He can afford a helicopter for his jollies.

It's time the worm turned.

It's not really an analogy though, it's overt jeaousy, envy, rage coupled with a sense of injustice.

Don't forget, these players are useless, characterless and crap, yet they're being made millionaires for nothing, rewarded for failure.
