Oh, i do hope you are wrong on this ! I would give Grezza and Unsworth 4 games myself and then have a look at where we are.

On top of this the betting for the new man has not reappeared since yesterday afternoon on any of the 2 bookies? So is an announcement imminent?..... Hopefully this Ince business isn't the reason!!

Fair enough Norky. I expect an outside appointment personally but Grezza and Unsy did themselves no harm yesterday.
I just think looking at all possible options, seeing what each candidate can offer us and at what cost, and then the Board (not just Ridsdale) will make a decision. Billy may turn down our final offer whenever that is made. So we need other options.
As do I. I think if Grezza and Unsworth were to have a realistic chance, one of them would be the Caretaker Manager now with other as number 2. We won't appoint both as joint managers, it won't work long term. I'm also not saying Davies will come, just that they are talking behind the scenes.
The problem with Billy Davies is all the klingons he has around him. We would have to take all of these guys on and probably sack Unsworth, Ramsdale and Hoyland which would be a poor move.
Davies ripped the club apart when he left from 1st to youth team and we don't need that again.
Just out of interest norky, do you know if the club approached BD or the other way around?
I think this could be the ultimate reason why BD might turn the job down. If the dwarf was to return I would think its a requirement that David and Grezza are kept on on the coaching side.
Ned, Balderstone and Darby are cretins of the highest order and can all do one for me.
I'm still under the impression that its the dwarfs job to turn down but Grezza and Unsworth will certainly of got the owner and chairman thinking. For such a massive turn around in a few days can not be understated.
I believe he is Hemmings' first choice so would have to presume we approached him. I am led to believe Davies is keen on the job. But our opening offer was less a salary then when Davies was last in charge. That was rejected, but talks still ongoing. There is also the matter of his backroom staff.
Hemmings also wants Unsworth to stay as part of any future backroom staff.
If Hemmings wants him then he's gonna have to pay. He couldnt have been on that much 5 years ago surely?
