Belting down with snow in Longridge now. If this carries on tonight I can't see us lot making it to Weepdale tomorrow. It's very bad.

If Preston is ok we will walk to Weepdale tomorrow, hoping for result. We are hardened followers up top!!!!

oh heck, cant find it now

Just a random comment, here. Not something that`s to fit into normal conversation at the best of times. But a suitable distraction for a quiet Friday night...my cat, Flash, is a direct descendant of `Fatrat`, who was an altar-cat for Aleister Crowley, until sacked for doing something unspeakable on said altar.

She is senile now, and dammit, seems to have survived yet another winter.

This is a pic I took of her when young...

How far in distance wise could a football game could get called off for Health & Safety reason I.e if the M6 or the Motorways round Preston are dangerous to drive on for supporters to get to game could it be called off or is that too far for PNE to that into account? this is a serious question from me as I will be coming up from Cheshire which I know is too far out for PNE to be concern about, but was just wondering where their bounderies lie in making these decisions etc.

Its a good question Keith.

The M6 is currently shut at Junctions 26 and 27 which might be considered too far away...

I think it is mostly the streets around the ground which will be taken into consideration when deciding if its safe or not.

I wouldn't worry about this. The motorway will be clear of snow tomorrow.

Ok thanks but was also thinking about the Coventry fans aswell, when does their safety comes into consideration?

Advised not to travel I'd assume. Can't really call the game off for lack of away fans if this area is fine, which it will be.

As an aside anyone who ever posts on FB things like "oh hope it snows" or similar should be made to spend the night in their car stuck on the motorway, its a fooking nightmare travel wise.

Equipment overhead damage between Wigan and preston. I'm currently escaping to London via crewe so probably diverted the other way too. This country's rail system is truly appalling.
