I've said this a few times about the falling out on the various political threads. People almost always want the same thing, they just have different ideas about how to achieve it. Also if people didn't care tempers would seldom fray as often as they do.

I’d meet anyone on here for a pint. To be fair what I find funnier is I know a few of the posters I chat to but because of the past banter I don’t always let on....
 
What I would do is chat about bloody politics and corona virus. I understand it’s horrific but some of the deep rooted hate for the tories just takes the debate away and become obsessive. Rather meet for a pint and chat about the main love after family and friends.... north end...

I was fortunate to be back for the last match, well it was shit, having spent the morning watching my nephew at penny home in a football tournament and the moment I can get back and get to deepdale... pints on me

Am I comfortable? No I created a spreadsheet based on which adults told tales about other adults to the headteachers. I’m 44 and most of them in my spreadsheet are older yet we’ve got a society that moans about the youth of today

That was one of the things that drove one of the banned posters nuts. He just got more and more angry, until he exploded with a tirade of abuse., he then calmed down and the process started again.........and again.....and again.........

I use a similar tactic if you get an angry driver. A wink and a smile seems to go so much further in getting them to actually explode
