Glad you kept this forum going JK

Brilliant forum.
Cant really go through a day without checking in and seeing what people are saying.
Without ever meeting anyone it’s clear to see the vast majority on here are really decent folk.
Long may it continue and big thanks to @JK for keeping it going and the Mods for the thankless task they do in their own time.
It’s very much appreciated.

Number one... I'm a PNE fan in exile - and this forum keeps me absolutely in touch. But Number 2, when I was younger, I used to love to chat about any current affairs issue - every day in the pub or at work. But life doesn't allow that nowadays... so I love the varied topics covered on here and it keeps my brain switched on and developing (IMO!)

I started as Preston Regardless on the LEP site... which started to get shit, so ended up on here not really knowing what it was all about... and as my post-count suggests, have become rather addicted!
My internet presence? Apart from the LEP site, I have probably made fewer than 20 posts on Twitter.. probably even fewer on non-friend related Facebook posts. Maybe one post a week on a running forum.. and that's it, so this is my online social-media presence.

For all the positives, not sure any other part of life has provided so much aggravation - with occasional major and minor fall-outs. Shaky being probably the first I clashed with... but like most, you could have a barny - but within a day, you're sharing friendly holiday advice with him before the next fall-out.

Long may it continue.

I’m also an exile and this site is my only real link with other North Enders. I am also hooked for that reason.

We all have fall outs on here, but the important thing is that with most posters it’s quickly forgotten about. That’s not always the case though and 3 in particular hold long term grudges against me for no apparent reason other than I supposedly banned Nobber, or it’s my fault, which simply isn’t true.
They aren’t important though, what is are the many friends I’ve made on here.

I originally joined in June 2004 and it has also been a ridiculously big part of my life. I actually remember registering, I was on a computer in my hotel lobby in Orlando when I did it, during one of the many rain breaks.
Met some great people, got to play for the Dog and Duck for a few years and have had many laughs. Also many fallings out, threats and disgusting accusations thrown at me, but I guess that’s part of the online world and I have broad shoulders.

It’s a great place even if too many people take it and themselves way too seriously.

I read for a good few years before joining. I thought you were all nutters.. That hasn't changed. 🙂 Shame some of the characters have left/past on.

Did we argue on the LEP? We must have, You still have a tendency to use far too many words. 😀

They certainly are and I'd wager they'd help you out if you were in trouble... Including Nobber and despite you being a bloody Europhile .. 🙂

Thanks for all your kind words.

A big thank you to you all for your kind annual donations as patrons and contributions to the discussions.

Without you there simply wouldn't be a forum for you to post on.

I get offered almost daily to fill the place with adverts or promoted posts etc which I never will allow, even as yearly costs grow ad the forum grows.

I know the forum isn't everyone's cup of tea but I am immensely proud that even in the days of social media we are still going strong.

The current mod team and all those who have gone before are a vital cog in ensuring we stay legal and deserve more credit than what they get sometimes.

You should all be really proud of the charity and fundraising we have done over the last 15 years too.

We don't get everything right but we are still here and going strong.
