Flags for Deepdale 2022/2023 - PNE Online supporting North End Soul

We have now ordered and paid for Deepdale's giant 3m x 3m waver flags with quality fibreglass telescopic poles.

The PNE signed shirt auction is still ongoing

However, we wanted to ensure they arrived in time for the new season.

You can still donate https://gofundme.com/f/deepdaleflags

We have also ordered & paid for our 50 bespoke 1.6m x 1.6m wavers from our partners at @FootballFlags, again to ensure we have them intime for the new season.

We have also ordered for 1000 1m x 1m wavers. When we said we wanted create a sea of flags we meant it. Once the proceeds are received from @pnefc shirt auction we will be able to complete this order with the flags arriving before the Hull game.

That is truly incredible. Bowler hats off to all of you for making such a concerted effort to bring this dream to reality.

Quite possibly waiting to hear from Preston City Council on the wheelie bin front too.

Need to source some poles for the 1000 wavers at the moment.

I am in discussions with PAR to try and see if they can help but I'm not that hopeful.

If not it will be old school bamboo 🙂
Sorry if being thick as per, but what do you need , cash for poles , or someone to source the poles ?

Ideally we want PVC Poles but they are far to expensive so unless someone like PAR cab help us out ( I'm in discussions with them) then it will be bamboo canes.

Bamboo isn't a problem it's what Newcastle use but would prefer wooden dowel or plastic but they are stupid expensive and can't justify it.

Are they the only company that supply them ??

Nah we can get them elsewhere but they are far too expensive for the amount we need.

Given PAR's links to the club I'd hope they can help us out but I'm not sure if they will at the moment.

Are you allowed to use telescopic metal poles? (I'm guessing not)

Because I've found these, 50p each.... 2m telescopic flag poles.

Probably get them cheaper too because you're after so many.

Cheers but metal poles wouldn't be an option and given the sheer number of flags we need fixed poles for the 1m x 1m flags.

We need plastic or wooden, the big flags are the exception which we have ordered fibre glass telescopic.

I guess something like these plastic ones would be far better and cheaper? Obviously you'll need them to be longer (1.5m?). I'll make enquiries with the manufacturer.

Something that style would be ideal but not sure 1m would be long enough.

Was thinking at least 1.8 to 2m.

The sleeves on the flags are 2cm so provably need to be slightly thinner so about 18mm.
