16th July update.
Against Accrington today, other than a few bright sparks from Brady, zero creativity. This is what happens when you clear out Bayliss, Harrop, Walker and then tell Bennett he can Fcuk off. Why? Because, as a young maverick, he slightly stepped out of line and challenged the super ego of one of the coaches. I use the word "maverick" because that is a natural trait present in all flair players like Bennett and Dolan, that being those who don't pass back or sideways. Instead they have the balls and the genuine skill to leave defenders for dead e.g. Bowles, Marsh, Worthington, Le Tissier, McKenzie, Currie, Barnes, and many many more over the years who could have taken England on to World Cup glory.
Incidentally I was informed it was the same coach who tore into Ethan Walker who showed the temerity of not time wasting but going past two defenders before slotting home a winning goal! After much early promise and typical scouse "mouth" it's now, sadly, looking as though Lowe is turning out just the same as Neil and McAvoy. But then Ridsdale should have picked up on that at the interview when Lowe would have spouted off about the wonders of 3-5-2. It isn't 3-5-2 when you play with 5 defenders. It's 5-3-2 and it's mind numbingly boring. We are a club renowned for playing with exciting wingers that actually get fans out of their seats. In fact we produced the world's best ever wing called SIR TOM FINNEY!
As for Coulton? He won't make it.
