Numerous times he found himself lost upfield allowing Boro to have a free run due that side of the pitch. We were fortunate Cunningham had a good game to mop things up in behind.

HIs pass completion rate last night is listed at 58%. Only 24 passes completed out of 41 attempts. Which for the wingback role is poor.

I think we have set the bar so, so low for some of these players; that very average displays (for most other championship players) are ranked as "man of match" worthy here.

Just on the pass completion stat, assume that will include crosses, which will naturally cause that stat to drop significantly, as its his bread and butter?

No idea how they calculate their stats. But for some context Potts has had only one game all season where he had a pass completion that fell under the 58% which Brady managed last night.

Based on what sort of player they are, I would fully expect that, since Brady's first instinct is 'find a cross, no matter where on the pitch I am', and Brad's is to run up a bit, then pass it backwards.

Statistically on the same website he is credited with three crosses last night plus one corner kick. (Potts has averaged 3 crosses per game this season)

Just for reference we've scored one goal directly from all of Bradys deep ball crosses in 18+ months (balls from 18+ yards out). His cross to Potts' worldie at Luton.

I wasn't arguing he does it particularly efficiently. Just that he's a lot more likely, at least in my head, to be playing long, riskier, cross field passes, than Potts.

I don't even know if those numbers actually pan out, but it's certainly how I see their style of play.
 
If anyone with a brain had any clout as to where we are going as a club then " has beens " or " never has beens" should not be offered contract extensions just because it's the comfortable option.... But that is exactly what we do. Personally I believe that's our biggest issue..ie.. We will never drive forward when we take the easier/lazy option.

Issue is those places in the squad still need filling and we still won't spend the money for quality there.
 
Played well today, was obviously fired up being an ex dingle etc. He is a decent backup, but my issue is that playing Brady on the left nullifies Millar’s game so much Cus he has to go on the right, and he’s not where near as effective. We need to actually go and get a player to compete with Potts for the right hand side, who is actually able to play on the right hand side.

I also don't like what Lowe has done with Millar. Millar was tearing teams apart on the left, he's nowhere near as effective on the right.

Apart from the goal I thought he was poor. He tries too much to get into physical battles that he’s not capable of winning.

When Millar moved over we saw what we’d missed.
 
He was wank today. Even the goal came from another one of his dogshit corners where he placed the rebound.

I'm really surprised Captain Conservative Lowe likes him. He is so wasteful. If there's a no chance in hell passing opportunity to be had, you better know Robbie is gonna take it nine times out of ten. If he has to play get him off set pieces for the sake of everyone's sanity.
 
Having Millar on the right really nullifies him as he is nowhere near as effective.

Brady has put two shifts in but is not attacking enough for this formation as it relies a lot on the creativity from out wide.

If we’re insistent on playing Brady I’d just put him on the right and just have one side weaker than two.

I said the same about his corners, never got them past the first defender….
