Can you provide a link to back up this statement?

I am going out on a limb here - but I am going to guess that it wonā€™t be the result of a poll of their entire supporter-base!
 
I had a peep on the Stoke Fans forum and they are upbeatā€¦..

Most of the posters on their think they will get a draw or a win.
 
Come on North End, give me a birthday win and another week of thinking we might just do it!
Crowd doesn't look too great on mypne, although Stoke are bringing over 3k which gives us around 17k in total I reckon.

I donā€™t see us as overly aggressive or as a physical team, but itā€™s football, you can play it without some physicality....

Competitive I could agree with, but I donā€™t see us a more physical than other teams.

I donā€™t think that he / she realised that we gave them 5,200ā€¦..

Win their next 10 games will leave them on 68. Not even the most rose to tinted spectacled fan could think they have any chance at all of making the playoffs. Especially since they only picked up 6 points from 18 whilst losing all 3 games away from home.

Think the poster has just made it up tbf.

Yep, theyā€™ve spent money we canā€™t even dream of yet there they are in the bottom 3.
A Stoke fan is aka a lard and a ā€œwho ate all the lardā€ should wind them up.
Also Port Vale to them are like the Lashers to us so if theyā€™re losing ā€œ youā€™re worse than the Valeā€ would be a good one.

Iā€™ve just had a look on mypne and all blocks are Red apart from H and J in the Finneyā€¦..

Be an interesting game. Our pitch makes it very difficult to play passing football but this wind will make long ball stuff challenging too. Scrappy affair incoming

What a bit of confidence brings !!!!

Reality is all games are going to be hard from now on with opponents facing relegation or in todayā€™s case with Stoke, promotion.

And no Pearo.

Will DJ make a surprise appearance?

And the return of Iverson.

Not to mention the Lowe v Schumacher confrontation.

Suggesting thatā€™s the concensus of the entire Stoke fan base seems a tad far fetched.

It was a tongue in cheek comment based on one post which I must confess I canā€™t find nowā€¦and hence the laughter emojis after the commentā€¦.i wasnā€™t putting it up as a fact based consensus!!

But as Ando points out a number of them are extremely upbeat.
For balance a lot of them are also very wary.

But the point was that after 2 wins they have gone from deep depression to over confident, thatā€™s footy fans for you.
 
Looking forward to the game today. Schumacher will know inside out, so this could very well be a tricky tie. Hopefully it will be an entertaining match and we get the win. We need the points to keep the excitement going around Deepdale.

Work of warning, wrap yourselves up warm and put on extra layers. That Easterly win is absolutely bitter and biting.

They're usually red, but still quite a lot of seats in a lot of blocks at the moment. I think they turn red at around 75% full don't they?

We're 16th in the Fair Play league. They're 21st. Potters and kettles!
