For me, it comes down to a question of progress.

If you don't get a promotion in your job every year, have you failed? No, of course not.

But have you evolved? Learned a new skill? Levelled up?

If the answer is no, then you've not progressed, and that is failure.

Has PNE as a club progressed? From a fan engagement*, social media, match day experience perspective, definitely.

Has this team progressed? We're probably in for another mid-table finish, we can't play any formation bar 3-5-2, and our captain is OOC at the end of the season.

When the dust settles, is anyone genuinely going to get all rose tinted about Ryan Lowe's time at PNE?

I watched one hour of Medals talking about his time here on Under The Cosh; I can't imagine doing that for Lowe.

PS: No, I don't refer to him as 'Scouse'.

That is I suppose the season done. What happened was looking increasingly likely to happen as our opponents passed the ball and found men in space while we increasingly just hoofed it forward. We just didn't have enough the quality in reserve in order to be able to change our options - maybe if Millar had been fit enough to make an appearance things might have been different but without him, Potts, McCann and Whiteman we were missing in effect a third of a team. Still we have the chance to influence the automatic and play-off places in the matches we have left. As I've said before we have four players out of contract at the end of the season - Bauer, Cunningham, Woodburn and Evans - who have to be allowed to leave and replaced with four quality signings. We may need more depending on the Browne and Millar situations. Anyhow I started on a bottle of red wine last night to steady my nerves and come 6.00pm I shall return to it. I still wouldn't want to support any other team.

Harsh because I thought he was better than Keane who knows this division in and out. Just not good enough in a 46 game season.

Norwich's CB's are class at this level

Ched Evans was an absolute fucking joke when he came on. If he’s like that in training Lowe needs to hand his coaching badges in, a fucking abysmal player. Probably get a 2 year deal.

Call a spade a spade. He’s fucking turd.
 
Disappointingly poor second half unfortunately. There was no lack of endeavour but we did not really trouble them much and they were fairly comfortable in the end. They came for a point and nicked all three.
Brady and Browne tried their hearts out as did Holmes. Osmajic gave them something to think about, but Keane was largely ineffective. Mads just did not get going at all and although I was annoyed he was subbed off, I can just about understand why. Riis offered very little and the Evans sub was baffling to say the least. Liam Lindsay had another strong game and Whatmough did really well in what is clearly an unfamiliar position for him. Like the season in general, we had our moments, but came up just short.
Worse things happen at sea I suppose. Another Championship season is hardly the end of the world, all things considered.
I just hope we turn up for the remaining games and don't just throw in the towel.
 
Looks like they will start booking their holidays on Mon...but theres a game on Tuesday away at Southampton. Sounds like a belter. Squad looks on its last legs & Lowe may chuck a few younger players on or squad players. Time to move on til Campoamor in July 🏖
 
Imagine having the balls to have 4 strikers on the pitch at once, but you drag the man with the most ability to find one of them off, how the hell do you defend that, it just screams of desperation in the hope one luckily gets a chance! I’m sorry but Lowe has to shoulder the blame today!

I just feel like I’ve watched Osmajic multiple times this season and he’s been invisible. I don’t know what he offers

Saying that, he barely gets any service.

We saw what he could do last week with balls on the deck that he can run on to.

Back to lumped up balls today which we all know he is dogshit at.

Not saying the guy is Pele reborn but I think there's more to come from him

Mads was fucking shit and there was no one else to bring on due to lack of investment in the squad

He was piss poor against Watford and offered absolutely nothing today.
