I can see you watch the youth squad a lot? They are top of their league and just won a national Cup. Not too shabby for a very poor squad. Not really his fault. North End have a very poor youth squad which rarely gets its players loans within the football league. Southampton have what is basically a PL squad playing in the Championship.
Singling out an 18 year old lad making his second start for the club is very harsh on a night like tonight where literally everyone is having an off game.

We are going nowhere unless the thinking of our owners drastically changeAbsolutely….he’s going nowhere unless he goes himself
Really, it’s what happens when you fail to plan I will just leave Brad Potts as an example. Just another excuse for complacency and disinterest, we have had many transfer windows to get a wing back just couldn’t be arsed because one (out of position) player would cover it…………………..well until he didn’t.Poor tonight there’s no argument there … injuries must be taken into consideration- it’s not many weeks ago when we outplayed Coventry with great skill and verve - but that was with a full team, we just don’t have any squad depth - has definitely got to be a fond farewell to Greg and Ched .
Got to get experience somewhere. It may as well be in a match that doesn't really matter.Mawene might be a player one day but he was miles off it the last time he played. Why the hell would you subject him to this?
I said they do but they are not the be all and end all. Others have managed to get promoted without them. We need to stop the excuses they have worn too thin.I agree with 99% of your posts Joan but Parachute Payments do have an effect

Mid-table is exactly where the North End squad and the club budget should be. Well beaten tonight, some good wins through the season.
Goodbye to a largely unspectacular season.

That was just awful but if it had happened with a midfield of Potts, Browne, Whiteman or McCann, Millar then there would have been real cause for concern. As it was with a totally improvised midfield with at its core an out-of-position central defender and a complete rookie - neither of whom actually played badly in the circumstances - we just couldn't compete. Season over. We need to release Bauer, Cunningham, Woodburn and Evans who are the end of the contracts - there is just no reason even to consider extensions for them. Frankly I would not stand in the way of Brady or Hughes if they got an offer of extended contracts a division lower elsewhere. Maybe also Holmes. Hopefully Browne will sign an extension and Millar a permanent deal. We then need to bring in anything from four to six younger, fitter, faster players. Even then the question would be whether RL has the tactical expertise to get a team to play with the fluency needed to go that extra distance to make the play-offs. That is the question CH and PR need to consider.
Fair play to the 400 in the away end. You are all certifiably insane but the club is nothing without you.

… a massive effect. Isn’t it something like £50 million for the first season after relegation, that's over 3 times our entire turnover.I agree with 99% of your posts Joan but Parachute Payments do have an effect

I think he’s actually right. That is more like ourselves, under his tactical ineptitude!I really think Ryan Lowe should be more honest and realistic in his assessment otherwise he’s playing fans for fools to say on Sky Sports-“Second half we were excellent and more like ourselves “ … no shots, no creativity and except for Woodman we would have lost by 6 or 7.If that’s excellent either I’m not seeing football right or RL needs to have English lessons on use of adjectives!!!

1986, we were rock bottom, worse than now, radical change was required. In stepped our messiah, John McGrath, he wasn’t even first choice for the job. But, initially, what a great job he did,
It seems to me a bit like 1986, but who is our John McGrath? He was genuinely pleased to be at Deepdale, and had a special affinity with the fans. Is there anybody out there? There must be someone.
Ryan's done his best, but it's time for change. It wouldn't be a disaster if Ridsdale went either.

Oh so just settle for that then? God that’s pathetic no fight no passion just acceptance. I’m glad there are stronger more ambitious people in the world than that.Mid-table is exactly where the North End squad and the club budget should be. Well beaten tonight, some good wins through the season.

"couldn't be arsed" is a bit harsh Joan. Couldn't (or wouldn't) afford it is closer to the truth.Really, it’s what happens when you fail to plan I will just leave Brad Potts as an example. Positives
1) almost home already
2) reinvigorated the Missus’ youngest lad for his Palace Season Ticket, decided watching them getting humped a lot isn’t so bad after all
Negatives
1) the £90 credit in our MyPne wallets from the cancelled game that can only be spent on match tickets

Been tonight. Appreciate we had a number of injuries that would have made us stronger but reality is we are not good enough. We are a mid table team at best. As such we may have the odd win v a top 6 team, get to the 4th/5th round of the cup but we will struggle to challenge for the top 6. Parachute payments are an issue as is our average home crowd conpared to most.of the big boys. Im not sure if you can truly blame lowe. He may have taken the players as far as he can (remember moyes got a team to the play offs that was not blessed with quality / expensive signings). Just think we are in for mid table performances for the next couple of seasons. Agree with other post that ched should hang his boots up tonight
It’s not harsh at all, the recruitment for quite a long time up until last summer was diabolical then January we didn’t bother at all."couldn't be arsed" is a bit harsh Joan. Couldn't (or wouldn't) afford it is closer to the truth.
