For years I been telling people how to avoid being Scammed, proud that they never got me. But that ended today. Been a bad day all round, then tonight I ordered a Sandwich from Justeat, what was delivered was awful, so reported to just eat. Then I got a message from Justeat Customer Service (Turns out its a fake account). Mind not in the right place and I sent them the order number. Out of that they had my details, so when they called I assumed it was Justeat. Clicked 1 Button on my phone, My account was cleaned out. Every last penny. Couldn't get through to the Bank to stop them. By time I did a hour Later, well they contacted me. It was finished, gone, every last penny. Because I clicked that button, even though it said refund, the bank said, I had agreed and paid for a service. All they could offer me, is a new Card and links to how not to fall victim to fraud. Helpful. This is what happens when your mind is switched off, meds have been changed and you think your smart enough to spot it.
Going back over it, how the fuck did I fall for it. seconds. How did they get all my Justeat past orders, my address and everything from 1 order number. And to top it off, no refund for the dodgy Subway Sandwich. No more online shopping or apps or anything for me. A real kick in the teeth. No new PC I been saving for, Bills bouncing and my head fucked.
Right look, I can be down and shit about it, I will be, but I want to spread the word. Check and check again, Don't trust anything or anyone when comes to money. But whatever you do, RING your bank. Don't try being clever with the Automated system by saying "Stop a transaction, Report fraud" or whatever, You say FRAUD, nothing else the quicker you do it the better. Wished I had known a hour earlier in a blind panic. Oyeah fucked my Phone screen in a temper (in your face Anger Management). Lesson, Stay calm, don't click anything and check. If you do fall victim Call your bank and stop that card.
Within the time it took me, they'd set up Amazon, Google Wallet and 7 other online services. They bloody quick. I have to hope the bank will do some sort of refund, she said the Last Payment to Amazon had not cleared so that is a possibly, but thats only £80, Suck it up buttercup as they say. So don't panic, stay calm, report it. Don't expect X or Justeat to take action, the accounts are still active and contacting people. I have told as many people as I could before I was Blocked by them.
Last bit of advice I should of followed, if they call you, ring back if you can or ask them security questions. I know I should of and stupidly didn't and thats why tonight, I sit in the Stupid c*nt chair. (Reserved for people who know better, worked in fraud and still get hit).
IF YOU HAVE THE BANKING APP, MAKE SURE NOTICATIONS ARE ON AND THE CACHE CLEAR.
