My dad Roland Frederick Bamber has passed away this evening and joined that very special band of people.
Born in PRI 14.3.1938 and brought up in Astley st (now Noor st) Deepdale a Proud Prestonian.
Royal Engineer and proud of it.
Northender home and away for years till illness and renewed his season ticket this year in the hope of attending 1 game. Alas he didnt see a game this year...
The Townend Row 16 seat 24 wont be the same.

RIP Dad x

Condolences to you and your family Gerona. I lost my own father a couple of years ago who was also a very proud Royal Engineer.

Very sorry for your loss @Gerona, what a brave and proud man your dad sounds like. Losing a dad (and hero) at any age is painful but we take comfort from knowing they are in the greatest company up there. Hopefully he’s bumped into my dad already.

Rest in peace Sir and thank you for your service.
