McCann is probably worth a bit...age. International, contract length. Whiteman possibly The problem we have is that even small transfer fees that could be in the reach of a L1 side wouldn't be feasible as wages would be an issue for the buying club.

The biggest thing that will hold McCann back is his passing, most teams will want there defensive midfielder being competent on ball and able to start the attacks quickly, unfortunately for us we have two play 2 defensive midfielders as non off them can do it all so we are stuck playing 2 there restricting the attacks by being a man light. Also doing think being a Northern Ireland international will add anything significant to a transfer fee with there lowly standing in football, same with the likes of Thor.

Cheers for this, see what shite comes back. Here's what I submitted.

In the article, it states that Preston North End fans labelled team manager Paul Heckingbottom "boring". This statement is presumably linked to an open letter from fans groups to the current club owner.

At no point within the open letter did fans make any claim, in fact the letter makes a clear point that both the team manager and his assistant have the full support of the fans.

The article, as with recent comments raised by Radio Lancashire, are a distortion of what has unfurled in recent days - and should be construed as bias towards the club ownership and their employees.

I submitted something myself, went down the 'this is factually inaccurate' route. Highlighted that the boring tag is a quote about the club from the Second Tier podcast, that the letter clearly talks about the hierarchy and ownership and the letter clearly states the full support of Heckingbottom and McCall.

Is Joe Savage out of work? Doesn't he have experience of it?

He does. He was a successful DoF at Hearts and their fans were upset he left. It's not really clear why he's left. For me, he did have some questionable signings when here though (he was also too respectful towards the Hemmings name for my liking! 🤣)

Also, I don't think experience means anything in that field. A 16 year old would be good at it if he just used data models. The job is simply pick winners for the manager to harness. That's all he should do.

If the job is that simple then you don’t need to pay someone to do it

That makes no sense. It's not an easy thing to do, it's just not complicated. You need to pay someone to do it but it doesn't need to be a working DoF. Savage proved that the skill set and the step up from Scout to DoF isn't that tough. You just need to be data savvy.

So it’s both not complicated and not easy. Fine.

Well guys what do you think. I’m prepared to walk in front of the Directors whilst I go for a coffee on the 12th minute of the Leeds match with the T shirt on

Could someone please tell me how to take Phil off ignore. I don't even know how you put someone on ignore.
Sorry Phil, I'm an old git who doesn't know what he's doing 😂.

Just because Ridsdale does a terrible job of it, doesn't mean it's the impossible job.

If we avoid bullshitting sock salesmen with our next appointments, we might even find it costs us less than £300k, and the results might even be competent - certainly more accountable, if all the roles are not bestowed upon one bloke.
