really well put - relegation isnt the answer, bear with though, lots of buffering to find the right answer 🙂All great memories and fantastic looking back, yes the promotion season was a good season.
After relegation though, the Westley era and Saga.well that is a different time all together.
TH allowed SG some extra £s to build that promotion winning team, granted not huge amounts but enough.
Unfortunately if we are relegated with the present ownership you will not witness the likes of the SG promotion season with Beckford,Garner,Gally,Clarke and Hunts.
You will witness a fire sale, the lowest budget for years, huge decrease in attendances and even less revenue,,bargain basement and lower division cast offs, you will witness a GW type era.
Thanks but no thanks from me.🙁🙁
Time for action - An open letter to Preston North End FC (Meeting & responses added).
The problem is though with our budget from the IOM and the person who spends it as he fells fit relegation is coming if not this season it’s only a matter of time. And there’s feck all we can do about it.All great memories and fantastic looking back, yes the promotion season was a good season.

Exactly this! Relegation will just result in the same as we have now but at a lower level. Last time Trevor released funds allow us to be relatively big spenders, now “the family” will just reduce the budget to match the league. It will be a slow lingering decline as the last 10yrs has been. Let’s face it many lg1 clubs have already outspent us this summer! All great memories and fantastic looking back, yes the promotion season was a good season.

If and when relegation happens, that will become a massive problem, with the present regime, there will be no budget to try to attain a quick return to the Championship. The problem is though with our budget from the IOM and the person who spends it as he fells fit relegation is coming if not this season it’s only a matter of time. Costs will be slashed,, players sold for whatever fee we can get and the budget allocated will be hugely reduced.
Not anything to relish, but certainly to be massively concerned about, relegation is not the answer to the present regime.🙁🥴

We have to stay up just so it costs them cunts £10m a year...If and when relegation happens, that will become a massive problem, with the present regime, there will be no budget to try to attain a quick return to the Championship.

We get relegated under this board and we'll be down there a lot lot longer than the 4 years we spent there last time.
Not a chance that the board do a Leicester, Norwich, Southampton, Birmingham, Rovers etc and keep the squad / invest to come straight back up the following season.
Relegation would be a complete disaster under the current "leadership".

The fans aren’t willing to force their hand.
We will go down eventually that is inevitable.
it is ok saying we will be down there a lot longer but we are going to be down there sooner rather than later unless we start putting pressure on the owners.
We sold 12,000 season tickets. That to the owners is a dream to them. They don’t see that as an issue because to them it is success.
You are saying going down will be a disaster but we are going down anyway this season or next. The disaster is going to strike soon. But we as a fanbase need to do something to change that. And we won’t.
Realistically it doesn't take many of us.But what now?

First thing is for PNE-Online to contact Union FS (Leicester supporters group) and tell them the situation. From what I've seen they'd be great and would knock up a banner to hang from the away end.
Deepdale is quiet normally. This plays to our advantage. It only takes 100 or so of us to start chanting and the whole ground will hear. The one that always stuck with me was Blackpool's "our club is dying, you're sat on your ass" amidst chants of "Sack the Board" and "Hemmings out" - unlike Blackpool our club isn't actually dying in that sense but I get the feeling the situation is more severe than the club are letting on/letting GH report.
It's about creating a snowball effect, the more people we can inform the more we can build up to actual protest. We saw what we could do at Morecambe, we saw what could happen at home to Plymouth. The sentiment is there. It's about making it count.
Hemmings Out.
