Is that allowed? If he keeps playing like this, it will be a no-brainer. You could literally sign him for the agreed fee and sell him the day after for double the money.
Confirmed Alfie Devine joins on a Season Long Loan (Option to Buy included).

It wouldn't happen like that but teams have bought players after loans then immediately sent them out on loans with buy clausesIs that allowed?

That’s what some people said about Greenwood.
Although, given today’s news, that’s what we could have done with Greenwood….
The IoM must be shitting themselves about how to wriggle out of the "to buy" option now.
Not sure they need to worry, we may have agreed a fee but we would still need to agree wages with him and that is the snag in the deal.

May be true, may be crap, but I heard the agreed fee was over £5,000,000
Heckingbottom said in his interview after Saturday's game that he should be back in training this week. Doesn't actually say what the injury is, but I think it was mentioned on here that he was holding his groin towards the end of the Wrexham match.Anyone know what his injury is?
Can listen to the interview on the link below. He talks about the injuries to Devine and Osmajic from around the 2:10 mark.

Yeah he was, about 85 minutes in. He did carry on and ran around a fair bit after that so hopefully it’s nothing major.Heckingbottom said in his interview after Saturday's game that he should be back in training this week. Scored last night in a 2-1 defeat to Italy for England u20s according to Flash Scores
We’ve a player in the squad for England u19, u20 and u21s this break - unsure why North End Twitter didn’t include him and Shay Reid in the list of players on duty, but included Small & Armstrong?

When everyone is fit, there's Small, Devine, and Armstrong for the U21s and under, Reid for the Irish U19s, Osmajic and Vukcevic for Montenegro, Thordarson for Iceland, Jebbison for Canada, Brady for Ireland, and McCann and Thompson for Northern Ireland. Maybe one or two more youth internationals on our books, too?Scored last night in a 2-1 defeat to Italy for England u20s according to Flash Scores

Hard to think of a season when we had as many internationals at the same time.
Jayden Danns scored the goal according to the official match report. Devine not listed in the squad. Looks like Flashscore got it wrong.Scored last night in a 2-1 defeat to Italy for England u20s according to Flash Scores

Devine wasn’t called up. He’s too old anyway
Only turned 21 last month didn't he?
I'm sure I've seen 22yr olds playing for the U21s if they were U21 at the start of the year. So assume the same for the U20s?
I'm guessing he'd have been involved if he was fit.

Think it goes off when the tournaments start. So if you start the qualifiers eligible, you can play the whole tournament from groups to final even if your age becomes ‘ineligible’ during that time frame.Only turned 21 last month didn't he?

Ah, so he is ineligible by a month, that was officially the first game of the U20 season. It's fine, he'll just have to oust Nwaneri out of the U21 team.
I'm sure the board are hoping he does a GreenwoodSomeone upstairs is going to start getting a bit twitchy soon. 2G and an assist already in 5 games
