Have we Improved under Heckingbottom/Hecky Out.

Did they not use to show England international matches live and in full when it was the home international competition ?
may be i should have added "league"
i think they did - and the same logic applies - people were interested because it was almost a novelty to see a game on TV, now the drop of in internationals is there for all to see - Traitors or watch England 😕

I would watch Traitors every time 👍🏻👍🏻

I wanted us to win, but am really not bothered THIS YEAR that we lost. We've played all the big teams in recent memory. We will get that chance again at some point. As a second-tier side the odds on us getting into a Semi-final are incredibly slim, we managed a QF last season and I enjoyed that run, but the league season was nothingness which almost ended up in a freak relegation.
Yeah, in the last 11 years we’ve played all the big six in cup competitions. Didn’t win any of them and more often than not were well beaten without even managing to score.

I’d rather play a lower league team I’ve never seen before than a big 6 club at home. Different story away from home though, getting to go to Stamford Bridge was brilliant.

I think we have now reached the same point we did under the equally talented Alex Neil, where Paul Heckingbottom has reached his ceiling with what he can do on his shoestring budget, and is now very aware that the owners' idea of ambition does not match his own...

Will be interesting to see if he gets any significant investment in new players this window now, and whether it affects his future in the next 6months or so.

First few signs of discontent starting to appear in the media. It usually only goes one way from here, as the owners don't care about the club or promotion.

I could quite easily see PH/SMc moving on after the end of the season if they receive offers from clubs who realistically show the ambition lacking from our present owners.

He won’t.

I just don't get the PH/SM love in, getting Iverson was such a bonus and he alone has probably saved us between 6 and 9 points, Devine, Dobbin and Armstrong have given us some much needed skill and pace but have they become better players, Offiah and Pol for me have been the stand out players so far this season with Small going backwards every time he plays, Thompson is a waste of a wage as is Jebbison (his work rate is tragic).

This season PH seems to have been backed but for Iverson keeping us in games at times and massively helping us to keep hold of points I really don't think PH/SM have improved us as a team, i admire how Andrews despite losing players has moulded a great team spirit at Brentford, so for me I don't really rate the PH/SM partnership, and to add to this where are our own youth pressing to get into the 1st team?????

Unless we are sold before the start of the new season to new ambitious owners, then once we are minus the loanees with the current shit owners still stinking the gaff out, I can only foresee a Bottom 6 Relegation scrap next season.
Tbf we here this same nonsense every single year.. although admittedly never whilst sat 6th in the table.

Of course we’ll lose the loan players, we always do.. but we’ve always done reasonably well in replacing them.

Far too early to be making these claims because we’ve lost a couple of games.

Torn between obvious rage baiting or you're still pissed...

Probably already started for the day.

He'll be starting the "bring him home" campaign now...

I’ve reached the point of questioning what I’m seeing. Under Lowe, and now Heckingbottom, I could think I’ve just witnessed an average display, or even a terrible performance, and then listen to the post match interview where they say we’ve played well.
For me, it’s a tough watch under this management. But I’m not calling for heads to roll, I just don’t like the style of play. It’s caveman football with shithousing, just not my cup of tea.

(1) I am looking at the squad once the Loans and OoC players have left. Not a great deal left outside of the strong defence. Midfielders and Strikers cost money, something our wonderful billionaire owners are averse towards.

(2) I am usually quite positive but equally, looking towards next season as it stands with an ownership group that will not spend (Players, Pitch), it looks bleak.

(3) Without Dobbin and Devine, we are pedestrian. Again, pace costs money. Sooner the club is sold, the better.

Just throwing a hysterical question out there, I don’t think this will happen at all, but could anyone see Hecky resigning after this transfer window ends if he doesn’t get the signings that he wants etc? I know he would be better waiting for another club to come in for him.

Don't think he resigns but would start applying for other jobs. The Birmingham job is likely to come up soon
