Who does he displace, McCann?
That would seem odd, given McCann has just landed the captaincy.
I tend to agree….Not really arsed either way with Mills anymore. As long as we sign a winger this window.
No Campbell and no Mills means we need two new wingers..

The same West Brom who finished 21st last season?Oxford fans saying on their forum that Mills is back in training….
One poster also suggesting that West Brom are interested in him as well…
He did add the snidey comment that “ West Brom are more likely to be Promotion challengers than Preston “

It's a question of what the role of captain entails.
If it's like a 'club captain' and McCann is expected to organise the socials, be the contact point between players and the manager, introduce new players to the club and help keep standards in training all of that doesn't really change.
In terms of during a game, from what I can see captains are seemingly less significant. They're there to speak to the referee and maybe help motivate players, but the latter seems to be even more in the hands of managers and coaches these days. Tactically captains certainly do less these days, with coaches looking at analysis and putting orders out that way. The armband can switch game by game with less consequence these days.

They were a basket case last season.
Been good since Morrison came in and have recruited some good players whilst getting rid of a fair bit of deadwood.
Definitely more likely to get promoted than we are.

The Mills deal sounds like a disaster waiting to happen if someone could come in with a better offer. Does this mean we’d be looking for a loan until January to cover? As well still be needing to fill that place with someone.
If it's actually a deal, then nobody can come on with a better offer, the player would be sold, with a signing date of Jan 1st, in all likelihood.
Now as to how true this all is? Fuck knows. We only have this one comment from Aaron Ramsey to go off right now.
We need one more winger regardless. We could probably get by with 3 and Lang/Moran till January if required, though a loan would be better for sure.
Not sure we would do that though, honestly.
My pick in PNE Online Championship sweepstake agrees with this.He did add the snidey comment that “ West Brom are more likely to be Promotion challengers than Preston “

He also seems to know of Erabi. A recommendation perhaps… maybe even his taxi driver. 😂The name Fredrik Hammar seems to be doing the rounds.
CDM, currently playing for Mechelen, has been at Brentford and played in Sweden, in the same as Erabi before heading to Belgium.
I'm not sure that an 18 year old who has never played a minute of league football is the solution to our defensive issues. We could do with Kaden Brathwaite who is in the Man City Under 21’s side…..
He is described as a left sided Centre Back, who also plays Left Back or Defensive Midfielder …….. cracked it 👍🏻👍🏻

Yes would agree with this. They were all but down when Morrison came in as last roll of the dice and he did very well.
Jimmy Jay Morgan already looks an outstanding signing who'll be playing in the prem for someone next season.
It was more a bit of humour on my part that he could cover 3 of our required positions….I'm not sure that an 18 year old who has never played a minute of league football is the solution to our defensive issues.
