Clarke?Now we're free of Mr 27.5%.
Listen:
Iversen
Offiah - Storey - Gibson - Wiley
Leroy - Thompson
Mills - Devine - Burgzorg
Kenny
Our 2nd best RB.Clarke?
3 yellow cards in 6 games and been at fault for at least 2 goals, maybe even 3. People are obviously going to overrate him because of his 'pashun!'.
He's decent enough but Offiah is better.
Could argue Storey has also been at fault for many goals. Our 2nd best RB.

With that in mind only tweak it would make would be Offiah central and Clarke at RB.
I notice on the no bounce video Offiah calls himself a centre half.

I always find Offiah similarly ‘overrated’ because he likes to take a man on. Both of those start in our best XIOur 2nd best RB.

I'm not seeing Offiah in the centre of a back 4 at all. Definitely not alongside Gibson.Could argue Storey has also been at fault for many goals.

I only see them both successfully playing together with Offiah at RCB and Clarke at RWB in a back 5, which means dropping Mills.
He's the best one-on-one defender in the squad, which is the first job of a fullback. We don't concede the 2nd against Bolton or the equaliser against Watford if he's in his correct position, IMO.I always find Offiah similarly ‘overrated’ because he likes to take a man on. Similarly, the Lincoln goal highlighted his weakness in the centre.

Signing Clarke might look quite silly now.
Although he looks like a good player a new manager will instantly play Offiah as a RB leaving Clarke fighting for his place.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Managers like Cooper and Corberan want their fullbacks overlapping their wingers. Clarke does that better than Offiah, which could see him favoured. Just depends on on who the manager isSigning Clarke might look quite silly now.

To be fair on Offiah we haven't seen enough of him at RB. I like both players so It'll be interesting as to who the new manager chooses.

No, but we’ve seen him at RB so we know the offensive side of his game isn’t at the same level. To be fair on Offiah we haven't seen enough of him at RB. I like both players so It'll be interesting as to who the new manager chooses.

Hecky had 3 jobs 1-get results 2-identify the profile of the young players and develop them to flip for a profit 3-develop a style of play.If he had succeeded at all 3 he’d be a genius who we’d flip for a profit! If he had succeeded at one of them at worst he’d still be clinging on to his job.Unfortunately he failed miserably at all 3😭With regard to the young players they all went backwards or at best stood still.IMO Offiah is best developed as a CB as his profile is more Usain Bolt than Mo Farah !! and RB’s these days profile more as Mo Farah’s and CB’s as Usain Bolt. No, but we’ve seen him at RB so we know the offensive side of his game isn’t at the same level.
Clearly the 3 pronged level of remit was way beyond Hecky and Macca🤔Hoping the club can identify a new management team that’s up to the remit🙏

4-2-3-1
Thompson and Leroy in the middle with Devine ahead of them.
Mills on the right, Kenny up front and one of Lang, Burgzorg, or Small on the left.
This allows you to fit Devine in his best position which is through the middle in a free role and Mills as an actual winger.

Quite like the look of that 👍🏻👍🏻Iversen

Thought you had been sacked, Paul.Iversen

Devine on the left is just a complete waste, nullifies his effectiveness and makes him incredibly easy to mark out the game for the opposition - as has been seen pretty much all season when he’s started there.Iversen

Are most effective games this season have been when Devine has played centrally.
I’d have the same team as you here but move Devine into the middle and swap Erbai for one of Burgzorg, Lang or Small

Pretty sure @Bobbage isn't asking him to be playing as an actual winger.
More to play inside off the left, and Wiley can provide the width. So Devine can roam and pick up central spaces.
Not what I'd pick, but it's really not that big of an issue as people like to make out, as he still plays central when he's in formation sense, playing out wide.
