I'm sure he said in his interview something like those who had little or no involvement were in (on Wednesday) and that Thursday was a recovery day. Maybe why the press conference has been on a Wednesday last 2 weeks.Clearly were in yesterday because there are training photos so just means Thursday is the rest day

Just said the same on the Academy thread.I'm sure he said in his interview something like those who had little or no involvement were in (on Wednesday) and that Thursday was a recovery day. Maybe why the press conference has been on a Wednesday last 2 weeks.
Bit surprising there's no work on Wednesday, surely they dont need two recovery days?
No surprise how unfit we look is it!?Just said the same on the Academy thread.

Tough for the manager. On one hand, we’re really unfit and need more time on the training groundNo surprise how unfit we look is it!?
On the other, we’re really unfit, keep picking up muscle injuries, and have a paper thin squad, so can’t afford to run them as hard as we’d need to to bring their fitness levels up

Alexander is right not to keep changing systems because the players aren’t bright enough to be tactically flexible
But at some point if results persist he’ll have to try a back 4. Fully fit, a 4231 doesn’t look terrible. And ironically might make us more organised than the 5 because we’d have a back 4 playing in a conventional system with wingers supporting their fullbacks and two defensive midfielders. Might stop us shipping all the goals as a result of wingers getting into the space between our CB and wingback (Millwall, two of Brums, one of Bristols, one of QPRs).

If we get relegated to league 1 (there's a long way to go yet),Yeah, let's spread the sub 10k crowd around 4 stands and make it look even worse, and likely have a negative effect on an already poor atmosphere.
It's fine for games where home attendance is good, but absolutely pointless for our likely crowds in L1.
the likelihood is that we will be winning quite a few games, so the crowds will be up around 15/16 thousand mark.

That’s a little optimistic considering the relative lack of away support and the evidence from our play off seasons the last time we were down there.
Nope. Firstly, there's no guarantees we'll be successful at all. Secondly, our crowds dropped below 10k regularly in league one and only came back when we were actually being properly successful. We only got 15k (including away fans) for the play off semi final against Chesterfield! If we get relegated to league 1 (there's a long way to go yet),

Fair comment, it's been a decade since we was last down a division and with my memory I kind of remember decent crowds. Maybe that was further back. That’s a little optimistic considering the relative lack of away support and the evidence from our play off seasons the last time we were down there.

The prospect of us being on Sky for Thursday night L1 games gives me the shivers. Mind you, we might not be selected as were that bad!

As many points as Sheffield Wednesday amassed last season....
If Swansea get 100 points I will show my arse in Burtons window.
Is that you Bernie? If Swansea get 100 points I will show my arse in Burtons window.

I wish it was that easy. How many seasons did it take to get out last time?If we get relegated to league 1 (there's a long way to go yet),
the likelihood is that we will be winning quite a few games, so the crowds will be up around 15/16 thousand mark.

I agree with you but will caveat that by saying last time we were in League One our cheapest season ticket was £400 and it was £475 in the IPS. I still think we’d sell 10-12k season tickets at the current prices, even in L1Nope. Firstly, there's no guarantees we'll be successful at all.
