Daniel Iversen's form

Daniel Iversen's form

You can’t really pin the blame at Pollitt when he’s been responsible for Iversen over multiple seasons including ones where he’s been exceptional.

Something is clearly wrong though, he was never great at kicking but it’s been particularly bad and as I mentioned in the match day thread - he seems to be nowhere near any of the goals we’re conceding. He’s not even getting close to saving them.
To me, whilst he has always been 'big' now he seems bulky, with the lesser degrees of mobility that go with it!
Maybe it's not just the outfield Players that let themselves go?

The whole team is out of form. Every single one just as shit as the next. We can't pass a ball, we can't press, we have very little quality and teams can see that we are just easy pickings. Never seen a team with such little character and lack of any form of leadership. I think it's fair to say that we are already relegated and the only indication is that we won't turn this around anytime soon. Well done everyone involved in putting this squad of shirkers, has-beens and inept footballers together. It really is impressive!

He is part of the general malaise of all the players that are not league 1 or 2 standard already done and planning a way out. That interview with him the other week sounded like he had no intent of working under Alexander. Every supposedly positive sentence had the word "quite" in it suggesting he didn't believe a word that was coming out of his mouth.

Put Nicholls in now as he will be out goalie in L1 next season.

It was a proper power blaster compared to Whitemans usual shots for us.

Iversen has just guessed and gone early.

Shame it was the wrong way.
It might have been a fantastic save.
Woodman was aiming for the opposite corner to the one it went in.🤣

He’s Worked with better coaches at other clubs
He also destroyed Woodman. No surprise Woodman got better when he went to Liverpool under a better coach. To saying we can get a coach of Liverpools stature but there must be better then what we have
When does the player take responsibility. No coach makes a player worse. They might not improve them but if their form goes downhill then that is on the goalkeeper themselves.

Woodman got better when he left for Liverpool because he didn’t have a bunch morons sarcastically applauding him kicking the ball to a Preston player. Woodman was a confidence issue and once his confidence was shot then his form went to pot.

Iverson doesn’t need Pollit to tell him how to save simple shots. The big worry for me with Iverson is in the past he has saved shots I would expect him to make. He does the simple stuff well. This season he is letting even the easiest shots go through him. This is a huge concern but that’s down to him and his attitude imo. Hes 29 not a young goalkeeper anymore.

Iversen is out of form. Confidence in himself and not helped by being constantly exposed by those in front of him. He still has the ability but like the others the whole team need confidence.

Are they good enough? Probably not. But they can be coached to be rigid and give more effort. Psychologically they are the worst bunch of players I've ever seen us have.
