Serious question - Would you settle for us just missing out on the play offs if it would guarantee that the tangerine twats go down?

As we are clearly not good enough to go up, what is the point in extending the season by a few games when we haven't a cat in hells chance of winning the play offs?

Even if by some miracle our home form alone is enough to land us a top 6 spot, our away form willl do for us in the play offs without a doubt. 2 of the 3 games are played away from Deepdale, including the small matter of a final and as we all know we haven't managed to win any sort of final for over 70 years. 😱 Let the Dingles have a bash at some bank holiday heartache for a change.

So, back to the question - would you take 7th place with the Lashers suffering the humiliation of relegation?


I would.
 
No, because if we miss out on the playoffs and don't go up, we need the revenue that the donkey fuckers game generates
 
I would settle for it but i wouldnt be particularly happy. Only one of my wishes would have come true 🙄.

Also, missing out on a huge derby would be a miss for us both financially and from the the rivalry and fans point of view.

Er, definately not. I seriously cant believe how ridiculous some of our fans are. I care about preston north end and dont give a monkeys about how other teams do, including blackpool! Get a grip 🙄

I care about North End too which is why I don't want us to go up. We clearly aren't ready.

For what it's worth I reckon Irvine is doing a good job under tight constraints and given another year or two could possibly build a team capable of going up automatically but we're nowhere near good enough yet. Look what happened to Derby. I really don't give a fuck about the money available if we rag it through - it's ruined many a club already and I don't want it to ruin mine.

I'd take 7th without the Lashers going down - I don't want to go through the pain of losing in the play-offs again.

So is the season only successful if you make the play offs? Regardless of whether you actually win them?

7th place would be a progression on the previous season, therefore it would represent a success.

Plus, as Dan points out, it would save me a fucking fortune in Kleenex...
 
I dont give a sh!t where the Lashers finish, they could finish 1st for all I care providing North End go up too!!!
