Would you take 7th place with the Lashers relegated?

Would you take 7th place with the Lashers relegated?

To answer the question, no I wouldn't. Ideal scenario for me, we make the play offs, win them and the lashers go down.

Serious question - Would you settle for us just missing out on the play offs if it would guarantee that the tangerine twats go down?

As we are clearly not good enough to go up, what is the point in extending the season by a few games when we haven't a cat in hells chance of winning the play offs?

Even if by some miracle our home form alone is enough to land us a top 6 spot, our away form willl do for us in the play offs without a doubt. 2 of the 3 games are played away from Deepdale, including the small matter of a final and as we all know we haven't managed to win any sort of final for over 70 years. 😱 Let the Dingles have a bash at some bank holiday heartache for a change.

So, back to the question - would you take 7th place with the Lashers suffering the humiliation of relegation?

I would.

I wouldn't - and anyway - as opposed to WHAT ?

And anyway - we are as good as 5 or 6 other teams this season - and as we all know the Play-offs can be 'rather' a "lottery" . I 'd certainly PREFER TO BE IN THAT SAID LOTTERY.

So is the season only successful if you make the play offs? Regardless of whether you actually win them?

7th place would be a progression on the previous season, therefore it would represent a success.

Plus, as Dan points out, it would save me a fucking fortune in Kleenex...

All I'm going to say is that I couldn't really give to hoots where the lashers finish.

We won't finish in the top 6, away form nowhere near good enough and some home games have been scrappy, lucky to win.

Plus why should I want Blackpool to go down? We need something to laugh at?

I couldnt give a toss about Blackpool unless they're going to finish above us.
If Blackpool do go down who is going to replace them MK Dons? 😕 Peterbrough 😕 as if those games are going to put bums on seats.

No, PNE for the play-off's, otherwise it will seem we haven't achieved anything. We may as-well finish one place above the relegation zone.

Preston North End > Blackpool

yes. we are not good enough and it would just cause more heart ache if we got in the play off's as we would lose ......... again. 🙁

Blackpool going down is the second highest poriority in football after North End being succesful. I'd like to finish 1st, 2nd or 7th so as 1st & 2nd look past us yes I'd love 7th & scum relegated.

Let me turn the question back on you. I mean, who cares if the lashers get relegated or not? Nowt to do with us! Seriously, I couldn't give a monkeys what happens to the lashers.
And what good is 7th place after fighting hard to reach the play offs for 46 matches? What a waste of time, trouble and effort on the part of all concerned at PNE (fans, players and staff). Rather have a slim chance of promotion than no chance at all.🙄

Stupid question as missing out on the play offs this season would be unbearable
Anyways i want 'pool to stay up..............

Fuck blackpool, it's not even a proper football club. I'ts North End that matters, but we'll finish 9th anyway, so it's a non-event really.
