Better hope Osmajic / Riis can hit the ground running. Keane has been absolutely pivotal in our good from so far.

Absolutely sickening that.
Genuinely feels like a massive kick in the gonads.

Step up FRG 😁Typical North End. Now that this has happened I’m fully expecting Riis to suffer a setback, Stewart to suffer a setback and Osmajić to get suspended in his first week for battering someone at Baluga.

Does make me laugh that he’s held his own against Mbappe tonight (arguably the best player on the planet) and then put the ball through Griezmann’s legs
But some will say he’s shite and we should get rid of him because 20k a week is too much.
Hilarious.

I’m gutted…. I was only thinking the other day that it would just be our luck if one of our players got injured in the internationals !!!Keane hadnt even touched the ball, looked like he pulled something, maybe hos groin, when chasing to close down one of the French defenders.

Not sure anyone is saying that this season. Worries me that an eye-catching performance makes him more marketable.Does make me laugh that he’s held his own against Mbappe tonight (arguably the best player on the planet) and then put the ball through Griezmann’s legs

I don't think many do say that these days to be honest. He's been very good for a long time now. Personally, I think his drop in form last season (and let's call a spade a spade: he had a monumental drop in form) was very much related to his injury/op recovery.
Alan Browne is a brilliant PNE player. He is on too much money comparatively speaking for us as a club but that's not his fault.

Makes me laugh that people didn't expect that there would be a period in his time at PNE that Alan Browne wouldn't suffer a drop in form.
If you chart his life from the time he arrived at the club as a raw young Irish lad to where he is in his life today, his personal life from a bit of a kid to a husband and father.
His professional life as a footballer with getting an agent, a new manager every five minutes, becoming captain, the guys life has been a whirlwind for the last ten years or so.
With a bit of luck he and the club are in a good place at the moment and Alan Browne could become a real PNE legend.
Whatever happens in his future football career he has never let our club down, and has become a honourable Prestonian.
Abductor injury apparently.
Recovery time will depend on the severity of the injury. For Grade 1, recovery can take up to 2 weeks with normal movement such as walking resumed withing a few days.Grade 2 strains can take 3-6 weeks to heal while Grade 3 strains may take up to 4 months

What's the abductor? Curious because I once ruptured my calf. I healed in about 7 weeks.Abductor injury apparently.

The gutting thing is even if it's not as bad as first thought it's very likely he will miss the Plymouth game anyway 😓

Other than the general warm up type excercises international players should not be doing any type of fitness work, especially this early in the season where players have literally just come out of gruelling pre season work.Is Osmajić likely to be match sharp?
Riis surely won't be close to starting games and who knows where Stewart is.
Wasn't there talk a while back about Ireland going really over the top in their training? resulting in lots of niggles?
Any internal manager, worth their salt, will be utilising the time as bonding and to work on tactical shapes etc.
Pretty sure there were complaints about them while Maguire was here, who obviously needed to be managed, yet he was constantly coming back injured.Other than the general warm up type excercises international players should not be doing any type of fitness work, especially this early in the season where players have literally just come out of gruelling pre season work.

Just seems so pointless if its true, these are athletes that are at the peak of their fitness levels.Pretty sure there were complaints about them while Maguire was here, who obviously needed to be managed, yet he was constantly coming back injured.
I do recall that being said, also.
From what I could see, of the incident, Keane was tying to close down a defender, as he does here, and was stretching to get the ball. didnt see what happened afterwards until the ref stopped the game because of his injury.
Lets just hope is the grade 1 and he`ll be back quite quickly.
This is PNE, though, and weve never been blessed with the greatest luck, have we?
