He was at his best tonight and a joy to watch. Whether him previously playing for Port Vale gave him an extra bit of motivation on not I don't know.
I think it helped him also having Moran alongside him who could carry the ball and look to go forward with and without the ball. It also helped Whiteman tonight.

If we miss out on him because of the Lang transfer, every single person involved in that deal should be sacked on the spot
Highly unlikelyNorwich will probably sign him.
He'll be at Wrexham, Burnley, or Wolves next season.Norwich will probably sign him.

Or stay at Spurs in the championshipHe'll be at Wrexham, Burnley, or Wolves next season.
Only way we keep Devine is with a new owner. The fee is suppose to be 4.5m. Thats our whole budget, its just not happening under Hemmings .
Not entirely shocked in the slightest.
I mean , surely we all know its not possible with these owners. "The budget is the budget" and Devine pretty much exceeds "the budget". I find it strange we agreed the fee and wages under this budget. Come summer we need another CB for Lindsay imo, another CAM imo. A Striker for Smith or even Ossie , where will this money come from if we sign Devine ?Not entirely shocked in the slightest.

Why make that deal then as a club. Surely there must be some sort of pre work done for it. Contacts etc. Waste of time doing it etc if as we know we don't have the budget for it

Like other have noted, Devine is worth twice the 4.5 million fee on that performance alone. He’s 21 ffs with a good head on his shoulders.. With good players around him who read the game well his quality stands out even more. Signing him up will do wonders for ticket season. We must seal the deal.
PR, wake up. Earn your wage, stop being a yes man and influence upwards. The ROI on this kid is huge.

Suppose none of it makes sense . Kind of makes you hope a takeover was in the pipeline to help with such a big fee. We dont take 20 years to break our transfer record on Lang to pay over double 6 month later. Something dont add up.Why make that deal then as a club. Was surprised to read comments downplaying his ability. He’s undoubtedly one of if not the most talented player in this current squad.
I was however guilty of accusing him of downing tools somewhat, as with the other loan players. But he shut me right up last night.
Going to go on and have a great career, clearly a really talented lad and it’s a pipe dream to think he’ll be here as our own player next season. Wish him nothing but the best.

Would be demoralising to lose him to a rival next season but that is the likely outcome and something that sadly we are used to as PNE supporters. If Lang then fails tic step up it will harden the blow. Was surprised to read comments downplaying his ability. He’s undoubtedly one of if not the most talented player in this current squad.

The agreed fee for Devine is a bargain, we could buy and sell in January and probably make a 2-3 million profit.
Not that we would want to do that!
I understand terms are already agreed with the player from Heckys comments so it's a bit of a no brainer really, Alfie has been consistently good all season.

Hope this is true would be a fab bit of buisnessStill been told the deal has been structured over his contract and will be a Preston player next season. However the only spanner in the works would be if Spurs get relegated.
