Stunned and excited by this. Either a final hurrah by the Hemings or Zedan’s whipped out the chequebook. Either way, hopefully we didn’t blow our wad in the press and have a fight on our hands for him now.
Confirmed Alfie Devine joins on a Season Long Loan (Option to Buy included).

To be announced Monday. Odd they didn't use the signing to shift a few more early bird tickets but very pleased with this and hopefully a sign of things to come 🙏

If I thought the signing of Alfie Devine would shift more season tickets, I wouldnt want to be selling them at a discount 🙂To be announced Monday. Odd they didn't use the signing to shift a few more early bird tickets but very pleased with this and hopefully a sign of things to come 🙏

I'm not one for wishing my time away, but given your rep as one of the more reasoned and sensible posters, I can' wait till Monday, the 1st of June.To be announced Monday. Exciting season ahead 👍🏻👍🏻
The new Era is here, brilliant news.
Also it was said on here last season by at least one poster that this club was Alfie's number one choice if/when he was leaving Spurs so good he's got his head screwed on for next 4-5 years of his career. Playing every week instead of just warming the bench for large chunks.
Well done all concerned. Hopefully 2-3 more of these transfers this summer and then next January.

It would be a win win ….. Pay £5/6M and sell for double 👍🏻👍🏻He's easily a £10m player. I imagine he'll be angling for a reasonable release clause. Every chance he could be Prem-ready in 6-to-12 months.

If indeed he has/does sign, I'd like to think we'd keep hold of him for longer than one season. He's the quality type of player that we need to be attracting and keeping hold of if we are to achieve our aim of the Premiership. He's easily a £10m player. If I had my way, it would be a 5 Year Deal with a Release Clause coming live after the 2nd or 3rd Season.
We have a chance of doing something, Alfie knows that he is covered by the RC if things go tits up.

Yeah I dont think he will be here very long with how much he is progressing.
Say he reaches double figures with goals and even assists next season you could be talking well over 10 million.
Getting Armstrong back and getting a good loan replacement for Dobbin would be a nice start…I just hope we can build a competitive team around Alfie. Looking at the current contracted players there’s still a lot of work to be done.
Plenty of time yet though and the signing of Devine would indicate we mean business.

Would happily sell him for double what we paid in a year or two then go again with another couple of players. Soon yet get a reputation as being a good place to go and develop, play regularly and then get a decent move up the ladderHe's easily a £10m player. "The fee is thought to be in excess of £5million. North End plan to spread their payments but it would still see the club more than double its transfer record. However, Devine still has the final say on any move this summer and while discussions are scheduled for next week, he is under no pressure to rush into a decision."
The deal is not done, as I understand it. You young fellas are gun jumping or has Devine said he'll sign?
