Confirmed Andrew Moran signs from Brighton and Hove Albion

Mentioned when he signed that I'd only seen him play once which was for Rovers v PNE at Ewood.

Think he played on the left that night and he reminded me of Iain Anderson in his attacking style.

My only concern was his physicality but he answered that worry excellently last night.

A great performance from the young man.

Before last night I thought he was Woodburn 2.0. but he played well last night. Lots of energy, wants the ball and not afraid to take risks.
Maybe Friday was Moran's equivalent of Woodburn's Ewood Park appearance. 🙁🙄

Reminded me of Browne in his pomp, lots of great work off the ball, creative on it (some pass for Devines 1st) and able to carry the ball well. Early days yes, but a run of games now & good preseason and he will be a fixture in the side.

Good foil for Whiteman and way more end product than McCann.

I worry the other way depending on who replaces them. One of the reasons all 3 played well is that they had multiple options when on the ball something we lack in most games

..and the main reason all three of Devine, Moran and Dobbin had multiple options and played played well is that they were all in the team at the same time and so provided us with a depth of creativity rather than just one of them struggling to conjure up a bit of magic against the background of a sterile Whiteman plus either McCann or Thompson central midfield partnership. To put it bluntly we should only ever start with just one of that latter three unless injuries/suspensions mean it is impossible though maybe at times adding an extra one of them for a bit more defensive capability late on in a match may be necessary - surely PH must see that now. Frankly if he doesn't then well I won't say but there is never a shortage of out-of-work football managers looking for a job.

Had a rollercoaster of a game, but that’s a goal and an assist in his first 3 starts now. Already matching McCann and Thompson’s contributions

Neither Stoke or Rovers fans were complimentary about him when we signed him (sour grapes?)

I found it odd given he got decent numbers for goals and assists for both and appears to have good quality on the ball. Maybe they were less starved of midfielders with those kind of qualities than we have been so have a more critical eye.

Definitely potential to be a really positive signing for us. Hopefully his career goes in the opposite trajectory to how Harrop's went.

After his start, today, he could easily have just found a hole to hide in, Hes no Harrop, that’s for sure

Fair play. Had the feel of a waste of money but he's done fine last few games and we know 100% he'll be here next season so one player to build on and build around at least for whoever is in charge.
