Anybody else agree???

Anybody else agree???

You tit, he played 45 mins last week, then 90 mins in a Friendly midweek...thats how I know he's fit.

Plus he is a naturally fit guy.

So stop talking Shit.

What a one eyed view you have , like many PNE fans you probably called Chaplow a clown most of the time he played for us . Hulme was poor tonight by his usual standards , his effort can never be doubted but his lack of fitness was evident in his loss of control on quite a few occasions . Barton did ok , his passes usually found a PNE player but his weakness is his strength in the tackle . Get off the young lads back !!

Le me see =
1)we won 0-1 at fanchise utd in what I believe is our first league match against a team unbeaten at home
3)They are on 7 game unbeaton run
4) we made the best chances and left them playing pointless passes across the sides and back and stopped them makin very good chances

Well to me that sounds like a pretty good and successful away result

Well done to everyone.

Tsoumou and Barton will both come good.

Adam frustrates the hell out of me. He is a technically superb footballer who lacks three things.

Experience, strength and aggression.

He will gain experience in time. When he fills out he will become a lot stronger. He is only a kid. The aggression is the tricky one. Perhaps Unsy should sit on him and rough him up for a few minutes before bringing him on next time. For a tall lad he needs to improve his ability in the air.

For Christs sake, we've been shocking for months and just snatched a win against one of the best sides in the league at their own ground. They were already getting on top when Mellor went off. We have a young lad coming on in tough circumstances playing out of position and people start jumping on his back. Another clean sheet for us, COYW!!!

According to Sky Sports, his Dad was lead singer of the Animals. Surely his name should be Adam Burdon then?

Pretty sure he's not Eric Burdon's son - I think his Dad plays/played in a later version of the Animals.

I don't think it would've matter who we brought on, Mellor going off ruined our gameplan. It was going to be more defence than offence.

Although the defence was immense, and fairplay to them.

Barton was awful, hes the only player I know who constantly makes himself "unavailable" for a pass. Ive been totally underwhelmed by him if im honest.

...Unlike Tsoumou I suppose, whos always unavailable for a control & touch or a shot on goal...

What naffed me off the most though about last night was the commentary; Who the fuck were those two buffoons on SKY? I know MK Dongs are the form team at the moment and are up there in the league, but having to listen to the guy brown-tongueing them every 5 minutes with shit like 'This is a real big scalp this If Preston can win here' is just a load of bollocks - besides, everyone knows that MK Dons arent a real football club anyway.

Dire interview with Robinson (who they seem to think is the next Fergie) at the end by Sky too when the interviewer seem to suggest PNE had tried to kick them off the park!

I think the foul on Coutts was a pen and the 3 worst challenges of the game - the stamp on Smith, the elbow on Barton and the guy kicking McCombe in the head all went unpunished!

I thought the referee was absolutely shocking, got so many decisions wrong including the penalty decision with Coutts. We got lucky in the second half though as McCombe should have walked for the pull-back on their striker.

In terms of all the criticism of Barton, in my opinion he is being played far too advanced. Barton is much better as a holding midfielder (where he always used to play for the youth team and reserves) or at best a central midfielder, although his workrate needs to improve if he's going to progress in this role. Give the lad a chance though, some fans are far too quick to write off a player.

There comes a point in every players career where they have to start progressing from promising to real deal, Barton ,in my opinion, is regressing. If he wants to play first team football he has to put in some committed performances, by that i dont mean that the lad doesnt give a shit , but he comes across as weak in the tackle and strolls about nonchalently letting the game pass him by. Perhaps today is not the best game to analize him due to the nature of the formation we switched to when he came on, but for me he has had quite a few chances to stake his claim and has just not taken it, yes he sees a pass but is one through ball a game enough to warrant a place in the side ? You can be creative and aggressive and head a ball .........Paul Coutts anyone ?
