Balance of the midfield is poor.
Ledson rarely has the ball under control but he does have fight and aggression and sometimes runs forward with the ball.
Whiteman, Browne & DJ are very neat but they lack the bite to take the game to any Championship opponents.
Whiteman looks good, reads the game, plays a good dead ball but lacks the dynamism to make us a winning team.

He just hasn’t done much full stop.

Like others, I do think there’s a player in there but I’m yet to see him have a strong game at this level.

Fair dues. We have so many non defensive (also non creative midfielders) I just thought the law of.averages suggest it may be worth trying. One of them.has got to be a decent 10?

The balance in midfield has been non-existent since Pearson left.

I think him and Davies made a lot of our players look better than they actually are for a very long time.
 
He was probably the only player to take any credit from today. The forward line stiffs were hopeless and deserve much criticism for their complete lack of finesse and creativity.

My grandson is a Donny Rovers season ticket holder and I had a word with him about Whiteman. He said he is a very good player and definitely Championship standard, he thinks we are not playing him in the correct position or to his strengths.
 
We have a squad of at least five number tens! Browne, Potts, Johnson, Whiteman and Harrop. (And probably Brown if I fit)
No target man.
No defensive midfielder.
No fit right back or right wing back.

Yeah this for me. He’s obviously a good player but relies on good movement in front of him. When he receives the ball and looks forward there’s no wingers to pass to because of our system, either.

He can hardly move though which is an issue
 
It's a complete shitshow across the board, too many average cheap option signings, too many already proved cheap option failures, too many average options for midfield, no leaders on the pitch, no strikers fit for this level and let's not forget a cheap option novice manager who is certainly living up to the title !!
Put it all together and you have our Hemmings style assault for the premier league !! Truth is, it's an insult to our intelligence, which is further added to by the captain insulting the loyal fans ! A red hot recipe for improvement it definitely is NOT !!!!!!!
 
Not sure we are getting the best out of him. Looked decent when we had spells with the ball but when we didn't he seemed to get lost. Just feel Frankie is trying to force this formation onto the team and it isn't working. Him and Browne were getting in each others way tonight.
