4231 also I imagine. Maybe 442 with McAtee more advanced. It's a really short team with only Forino and Dalby being the physical presences in the XI

Absolutely agree.
Maybe its because Offiah can look after the ball and likes to have a little wander forward with it now and again! We cant be having any positivity ruining P.H.s negative borefest!!
 
It's about as strong as we could put out imo. Hughes is out best defender but never a centre half in a two and needs to be played over Vuk if Lindsay is on the pitch.

Midfield is threadbare and, while Thompson is shit, throwing a brand new player into the most tactically demanding position before he's even trained with the rest of the team is worse.

Offiah should probably start over Storey or Pol but other than that, what else could heckingbottom do?
 
I think the idea is to have Storey and Lindsay against Dalby aerially seen as he’s such a shithouse. Similar profile to Sam Gallagher who used to give us all sorts of problems in the air. Offiah certainly isn’t the greatest vs a tall target man. Devine with Burgzorg and Lang either side and Ossy up top is leaps and bounds better than what they have to offer.
 
I wish someone could tell me just WHAT Thompson brings yo that line up!!

Lindsay is a train wreck waiting to happen. Storey less so but he's still not great.

Agree they definitely get hung out to dry at times on here though.

My gut feeling is he’s not entirely taken with Offiah. He also must not have watched the calamity display from Valentin last Saturday or the second half of last season if he thinks he’s a better bet than Offiah.

Im still buzzing with yesterdays events. Its so long since ive felt a buzz like this on a matchday.

New start, new season so its all positive for me and, do you know what? I think it will be for the players too. Theyll be looking at that bench knowing theyre going to have perform.
