Under Hemmings ownership with no takeover in sight, we scrimped on everything, our transfer record for Healy stood for something daft like 20 years. Then suddenly in January, we break said record for Lang at circa £2.5m.

Being pedantic here but Lang was around £1.75m plus Add Ons. Which may or may not materialise.

The LEP still referred to Osmajic as being our Record Transfer.

Obviously both Devine and Leroy now take #1 and #2 positions in said list.

This is a DM I received in convo with George when I asked him the question a couple of months ago.

Sorry Steve only just seen this in a request folder. I get the impression it could go above the £2m paid for Osmajic with certain add-ons. I don't think it was £2m+ up front.

I think its fairly obvious from this summers recruitment that something has definitely changed in the background.

Then in the summer commit to spending £1.5m on a new pitch, £6m on Devine, around £4m on Leroy and Clarke with more apparently to come.

Personally I think it is the Hemmings that are doing this, IE still funding the club as we speak, but as these transfer fees are paid in instalments they will be confident or maybe have it guaranteed that they will not be the owners when the next instalments are due. I just can't see why they would suddenly change approach so drastically when they are looking to sell anyway.

I think there is a good chance Zedan is rubber stamping these moves, as it will be him who funds it going forwards.

I believe the deal was done on 10th June but why the announcement is being withheld I don't know.

I'm being pedantic too.... Big risk and a waste of money. Hope he proves me wrong but I'd be very surprised if he does. 🙂
