2 Curses, Deepdale and Euxton we don't stand a chance. This training ground has relegated Bolton, Wigan and now sadly, 99.9% ourselves.
Oh how we laughed at this mythical curse upon purchase. It would never happen to us, right??
Club Takeover/Investment
I expect the next statement to say something along the lines that due to reasons beyond our control, there's currently no ongoing discussions, but we remain hopeful of selling the club within the original timescales, i.e., by August 2027. By that time, we'll be in a deeper hole than we are now.
We have signed a few better class players this summer, but they needed to be supplemented by some good loan players. This season’s loan signings have been the worst bunch for years, and it is that, that will probably see us relegated.
This season more than most should have been putting the emphasis on top class loan signings, and leave the permanent signings to the new owners.

I don't have any stance about Alexander at all, the lack of impact he has made so far is deeply disappointing and I he has been caught out by the mess of our squad.I know your stance is to defend Alexander and that's fair enough, but you can't say he "hasn't been allowed to boot out" the backroom failures when he obviously had no issue with them by taking the job. He didn't have to if he didn't want them here and clearly hadn't done his research.
That isn't an excuse for him but a fact.
FWIW Grezza waa never my first choice.
Regarding the backroom team, we needed and still need a total clear out, just as we need the CEO to leave.
The footballing structure at PNE is league two at best.
Does anyone have any news one way or the other regarding the takeover? It looks like it’s off but who knows?

Wasn’t there talk of a payment or price change that the Hemmings family wanted if the club went up to the Premier League? I imagine someone as successful as Zedan would have had something similar in his favour should the club go into free fall before he took over.
Derek Shaw was there yesterday, could there be a return for WDD?I expect the next statement to say something along the lines that due to reasons beyond our control, there's currently no ongoing discussions, but we remain hopeful of selling the club within the original timescales, i.e., by August 2027. Im starting to get to the point of adding fuck zedan to my list of pne related fucks.

The point is they CAN do the basics.Just about sums it up mate…..these players can’t even do the basics. The goals we concede are laughable. Very rare we make a team work hard for there goals. Majority of the time it’s just really basic errors. I don’t see this changing, regardless of who is in charge. The players simply aren’t good enough. Glaring areas of the pitch which required strengthening, which we have chosen not to. It’s coming home to roost unfortunately. The season has got the potential to go down as one of the very worst in the clubs history and we’ve had some bad ones! Goals are going in against us and I’m not feeling anything. It just feels inevitable. You can try and get us more organised and hard to beat but individual errors, by players simply not good enough are absolutely killing us. I can’t make the WBA due to a family commitment and I never thought I’d hear myself say this, but I relieved I don’t have to go!
1/ they are professional players at a high (don’t laugh) level. Doing the basics comes with the territory.
And 2/ IVE SEEN THEM DO IT.
The question is why they aren’t doing it now.
Owners are allowed to pit in equity and 50% of that is counted as income for SCMP purposes. I think this page explains it.Excuse my ignorance but what is the significance of ‘Equity funded’?
SCMP Explained: League One Salary Cost Management Protocol
The League One SCMP in plain English: what counts as player-related expenditure, what turnover includes, the 50% cap (65% for just-relegated clubs), the June and December submissions, and the registration embargo for breaches.
If we stay up, this report makes for eye opening reading - and it does even if we don’t!
Football Finance Report 2026
The reason for the contract extensions to 2 of the old timer defenders was that the friendly matey relationship ridsdale has with there agents ...think about it .....couldn't believe the interview storey give post match saying I've been here 8 years and not progressed ...Gally was right in saying these players need moving on but while you have that man in charge of contracts etc the club is rotton to the core with bad applesAnd this is why we never progress.
Sick to death of this clubs mindset.
Fucking rank amateur time after time after time.
Won’t get rid of an abysmal coaching team that’s achieved nothing in 5 years of being here.
Handing new contracts out to players that are well past it
Absolutely piss poor player recruitment
All of the above now coming home to roost
We’ll be down by new year at this rate
Potentially some decent games next season : Sheff Weds , Leicester , Luton, Huddersfield , Bradford , Blackpool, Wigan , Plymouth and Oxford…probably best to just accept where this Hemmings/IOM trinket will end up, no point in getting upset as the fans just don't matter to those in charge and the owners, I am sure PR places much more importance on his EFL board place than PNE, and nobody is going to convince me that the takeover announcement was anything other than a plan to sell ST's after 2 terrible PH seasons.
I was taken in by this takeover shite and the departure of PR and was it not for the people I see at the games I just wouldn't really bother, however if something happens then great, if not div 1 has some great grounds which I will enjoy rather than the soulless place Deepdale will/has become.
Although Penrose made a statement stating that the club were in talks with a potential buyer , someone suggested on here that no official paperwork had ever been submitted to the EFL….Does anyone have any news one way or the other regarding the takeover? It looks like it’s off but who knows?
You'll be on holiday! 😂Potentially some decent games next season : Sheff Weds , Leicester , Luton, Huddersfield , Bradford , Blackpool, Wigan , Plymouth and Oxford…

Cannot say there is much appeal in those fixtures, playing the same dour and turgid football, which we probably will be.Potentially some decent games next season : Sheff Weds , Leicester , Luton, Huddersfield , Bradford , Blackpool, Wigan , Plymouth and Oxford…
We will have been shopping in the B and M bargains and Poundland of football for any new players.
The present owners cutting the budget dramatically to the division we are in, we could be on a very slippery slope.
Deepdale with crowds of 7/8,000 especially against clubs such as Burton, Cambridge, Wycombe, Stevenage ,Bromley, AFC Wimbledon ,Milton Keynes etc, with just a few hundred away fans.
Think even you Ando will be tested to turn up on a wet and cold Tuesday night when we are playing one of those teams at Deepdale .🤔🥴
When you put it like that 😂Cannot say there is much appeal in those fixtures, playing the same dour and turgid football, which we probably will be.

Was zedans name ever mentioned?
I’m wondering if the agreed party wasn’t zedans bid?
Anybody’s guess. More closely guarded than a state secret. Was zedans name ever mentioned?

Whoever it is that is attempting to purchase the club should be knocking on the door saying something like (I’m not ITK)
Yes I still want the club; but the start to the season has been awful; so we need to restructure everything.
£30m - having a laugh; £5m now; then increments of £1m per month until the end of the season; so a total of £12m. If the club go down then that’s it - it’s mine free & clear and we’ll come back up the hard way.
If by some miracle Grezza keeps the boys up then there is a one off bonus of £13m; making £25m in total. Oh and Peter has to go now
If that’s not acceptable then the deal is off and I will very publicly announce that it’s the Family’s fault….
Adjust the figures to reflect the prospective purchasers anger at the way the whole affair has been dealt with
