Confirmed Daniel Jebbison Signed on Loan

Confirmed Daniel Jebbison Signed on Loan

Can't help but feel the posters dead against signing Jebbison, were probably the same ones who regularly slagged off Hugill.
agree!

Also we have a habit of finding players who have been poor elsewhere and have clicked here.

jebbo is liked here and you can tell he appreciates it. Seems to love hecky too, and vice versa. for some players it just clicks and I think it finally has done here for him. If it can be a bargain deal I think it’s a no brainer, I think he can really kick on if he settles jwre permanently. I don’t think he will set the world alight but I think he still has high potential and could be very good for us, he would be a very good option with whoever else we bring in.

If that is clicking then I worry about him not clicking somewhere.

He’s average. Let’s aspire to better. It’s not like we don’t have examples of the kind of strikers you can get in the loan markets over the last few seasons

We need more than just loans though. We need to be making permanent signings that could turn a profit if they do well!

Different levels but looks at Osula at Newcastle. Bit of a joke signing last season, but ended the season with 5 in 7, and might be first choice for Newcastle next season.

If Osmajic and hopefully Smith leave, we'll need to sign 4 strikers at least.

I think people forget he only scored two goals less than milly and his all round game has helped the team more than milly who was a passenger most of the time.
Personally don’t think there is much difference between either of them. Both have flaws to there games and not consistent goalscorers which is why they are at PNE with our budget currently.

Callum Lang plus 3 more..

I think the main risk with spending money on Jebbo is that PH gets sacked early on next season. We could then be lumbered with someone who we can’t get a tune out of.

I honestly don't get this take that Hecky is the only one who can get a tune out of him.

In terms of professional football he's been managed by JFH at Burton where he did well. Chris Wilder and Hecky when he was coming through at Shef United and then when he got his move to Bournemouth and then Watford under Cleverley.

Just because he enjoyed his time the most under PH doesn't mean he's the only manager that will get a 'tune out of him'.

As I've said on the other thread, if we can get him on a good deal it would be stupid to turn him down given his age, raw physical attributes and what he's shown he can do already at 22 with pretty limited exposure to mens football - he is only going to impove.

I think Jebbison would be a great signing. He’s got all the physical attributes to be a top striker, he’s only 22 years old and has played 75 games at Championship level. I think getting settled permanently at a club and getting regular 90’s would be hugely beneficial for him.

He put in performances last season that Milly has never come close to. I don’t see the point of another loan unless we can have an option like we’ve done with Devine but on a permanent I’d be very chuffed (price dependent).
The home game against Coventry where we went down to 10, he was phenomenal.

I would happily offload Osmajic to invest in Jebbison. The trouble is that, at this stage in his contract and given the fact that he is a liability, we're unlikely to get as much as £2m for Osmajic, and I think that Jebbison will cost at least £3m.

It will be interesting to see how deep the club's pockets go this summer. I'm not expecting much.
