In fact Beardsley would have scored it.
Fook me that must have been a easy goal.
In fact Beardsley would have scored it.
Since Beardsley didn't touch it, are we sure Beardsley isn't claiming it? 😉In fact Beardsley would have scored it.
I admit Amoo looks awfull on wing but play him up top with a partner and someone who can play the ball to himm he will score goals
I said it at the time and got slated for it that Amoo isint shit he's just like a lot of other players where all he needs a run of games and to feel somebody belives in him. He will feel that with them.especially when he's gone stright into the team . Yes it might be a one hit winner but I very much doubt that will be the case!
In an interview, he said that for months he`d been regretting not signing for Tranmere in the summer when he got the chance.
His head clearly wasn`t here...doubt whether an extended run would have made much difference.
Get real course he's going to say that.
It's just my view but I think he had something to offer but the environment obviously didn't fit with him at our place so fair enough best for both parties if the player moves on, but my stance was he wasent a shit player as some like to say he is.
DAVID AMOO aims to make the most of a second roll of the dice with Tranmere after a summer “gamble” failed to give his career lift-off.
The 21-year-old front man wasn’t short of suitors when he was released by Liverpool at the end of last season and Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore was among them.
He chose Preston North End, who were tipped to make a strong promotion challenge under Graham Westley. But Preston’s season is so far a disappointment and Amoo started in fewer than half of his 24 senior appearances for the Lilywhites.
When Tranmere made an approach this week, Preston were prepared to cancel Amoo’s contract, leaving the player free to sign a short-term deal that keeps him at Prenton Park for the remainder of the season.
Amoo hopes it will be time enough to prove to the League One leaders that he can deliver on the promise he showed during his years in Liverpool’s reserve team.
Amoo said: “Every time I looked at the results over the last few months and saw Tranmere at the top of the league I was regretting what I did.
“In the summer it was a gamble. When you have three or four League One clubs after you, you try and choose what you think is going to be for the best. I’m here now and hopefully I can do well.

Just realised that he scored on his debut for Tranmere!

Hiya, Tranmere fan in peace,
Just thought I would give you an update on Amoo as he has now played a few games for us. I have to say he has really impressed us so far, he has been playing up top and is forging a good partnership with Akpa Akpro and was arguably man of the match yesterday. He is quick and direct and he causes defences problems
I have to say I am amazed he had no place for you considering where you are in the league as he looks easily good enough for top half league one
Best of luck for the rest of the season and if you have anymore you want to release we will have them as well ;-)

We have a shit load that need releasing.
I think that Amoo certainly has the raw talent to be a good player and clearly Ronnie Moore has immediately instilled more confidence into the lad than Westley did.........
Why didnt GW play him as an out and out forward ??
