As for Alexander, I wouldn't want him as manager either, although I'd like him and Unsworth to be given the opportunity. If we were to appoint from within, then Unsworth would be the choice for me rather than Alexander. I still dont understand your completely blinkered view that the appointment of Davies would change our fortunes. The guy spent money that both Derby and Forest didn't have to get to the play offs, financially Forest are still struggling from the after effect of this spending. Only a board takeover stopped Derby from financial peril post Davies, again spending record sums prior to his dismissal.

Do you honestly believe he will be given funds if appointed, given our perilous financial situation at present, do you think him spending more money that we haven't got is the wise thing to do ?

This is why I believe Davies isn't the correct man to appoint, not purely because he is a cuntish human being, however that may go some way to explain your adulation of him.

People go on about boring football and not scoring much but isn't that what football is about? Getting perfect results? 1-0's, 2-0's etc? Under Davies we managed to concede the least in the 05/06 season out of every other team in that league including the runaway leaders Reading, who still hold the record for the most points gained in any season of 106. Yet we had a better defensive record than them! 30 goals conceded! Unbeliavable record. Nearly 0.5 a game. We also managed still to have an impressive +29 GD so even if we only scored 59, probably about the same as we did under Fergie, we only conceded that little, meaning our record was as good as other teams around us who had scored 80 and conceded 50.

I can't for one second believe that some people on here wouldn't want him back. You'd think that he'd been round to your house and shit on your doorstep the way a few are going on. He's a top manager and his record backs this up. So what if he left for a bigger club than us, it wasn't fucking personal to the fans was it. The Davies haters really need to grow a pair!!

It doesn't guarantee anything other than we are employing an excellent football manager.

I don't think you understand what blind faith is, I'm not explaining it again you moron.

I can accept being wrong about him reaching the play offs five times with Preston, Derby and Forest but you haven't explained why.

Is that a question? No I don't prefer Brown to Davies. Davies is bad news and has massive flaws, just like Brown, but Davies is poison.

The manner in which he left was absolutley disgraceful, the fans ARE Preston North End so I can't understand any supporter who didn't take it personaly. Nobody has any ill feeling towards Moyes leaving to go to a bigger club have they ? ask yourself why that is, maybe because he didn't try to destroy and screw us over in the process and therein lies the difference. He screwed us over once and he will do it again at the drop of a hat.

At last a bit of honesty !!!;

I think you will find when he took the Forest job he did not get them to the play offs, hence 5 out of 5 and 4 out of 4 be incorrect. However I suppose you will now rectify your statement to suggest you meant full seasons ?

It's also nice to see you backtrack in saying that if Davies was appointed we would have a good manager (that is not what I am questioning) and he would not guarantee immediate success. In doing so I will retract my blind faith comment to you, my questioning of the appointment of Davies is in relation to whether he is the right person given our current position. Given the clubs current financial position and the fact that Davies has spent large amounts at each of the clubs he has managed with relative success, do you feel he would be given money to spend and if so would this spending put the club in peril?

In my book it is a risk not worth taking.
