Thanks for all the advice, appreciated. Going to have a few before in Preston anyway so might just have to deal with the Macron prices for a short while!

Preston North End FC

?️ Almost 3,800 tickets have been sold for tomorrow's #GentryDay!

@OfficialBWFC have now confirmed that tickets will be available on the day for #pnefc fans. Tickets will be available on Saturday from turnstile G at the South Stand and will be cash only.

Be nice to get 4.000 there with pay on the day. With some of the posts on here some people have forgotten what Gentry day Is for and what it means to the fans.

What posts?

You can't blame people for being annoyed at being ripped off!!

I get what your saying Miff....however some of the Gentry would have had a moan at the prices...I know my old man would have had a right whinge.

WE ARE THE GENTRY
WE ARE THE GENTRY
NO TIME FOR LOSERS CAUSE WE ARE THE GENTRY
FROM NORTH END

Greyfriars here I come ?

Yes Nobber I do understand nobody likes a rip off. But there's more than one way to skin a cat. Boycott the game next year and I will back that if there still in our division but don't ruin something we all believe in we have a choice to go today some we used to go with don't lets just remember them. And pay Bolton back another day. every dog has his day and all that.

By the way Nobber enjoy your breakfast and have a great day.
He's in Greyfriars now and has just ordered his continental breakfast of croissant and grapefruit, washed down with a small fresh orange juice. Mind those pips and pith, Nobber.

If you're on about the boozy side of it I'm 100 % with you. Barnsley a couple of years ago was a total disgrace with fans throwing up, falling over on the concourse. In my opinion if you NEED a pub for gentry day then you completely miss the point, especially if you just want to get plastered. How is that showing any respect to people who've died?

Whilst I wasn't at Barnsley, I figure that the age old tradition of "raising a glass" is taken to the Nth degree here.

Ive no problem with people having a drink I used to imbibe in a good session myself. People should know there limit.

I literally will be raising a glass to my Dad today, timed for when the game kicks off. It was he who introduced me to PNE.

I totally understand the raising a glass in respectful ways. What happened at Barnsley was not respectful in any way. It really put me off going to gentry day. Explaining to my son that it's about respecting people who have died...I don't want him learning that respect equals rolling around in each other's vomit. Enjoy today everyone.
