Did everybody get home ok with there being no trains?
He does a good job sometimes, other times he makes me want to smash the radio. It is better when he gets his left and right mixed up. It is too easy to wind him up on here it must be said.

LOL.PNE player left the mics on at half time and a certain person could be heard in the background asking for a lift as he couldnt get home 🙂
Once again, the presenter of the Radio Lancashire sports show last night - not Gary Hickson - said something like "Westley doesn't look me in the eye when he's talking to me." I've heard other similar comments reflecting they don't quite like him. My theory is that Westley openly uses the media for his own ends. When on the radio, Westley speaks, as does Ridsdale, directly to the fans, or to the opposition, which bypasses the sports presenter, who clearly "wants to be mates" with Westley. Westley doesn't give them the time of day, and I don't think the radio presenters enjoy being used like that.
If Westley does stick around long enough for us to get back on a level with Blackpool, just imagine the build up to the derby and the bloodbath!!
Something that Moyes uses a great deal is subtle messages to the opposition, in the media. He was brilliant at it. Westley leaves little messages in the media which resonate with the opposition fans and players. In short, he is trying to distract them emotionally. Its called sledging, and its part of sport, and it is nothing new, even at Preston.
If opposition don't like Westley, then it means he's taken something from them. Points, mainly.
I get the impression Carlisle think they're big time at the moment. Good luck to them, but 1 point at home to shit Preston is hardly promotion form.
I thought that the presenter made a number of suggestions that he is not too keen on Westley last night.
I think it is poor form if so as they have had far more difficult characters to deal with like Davies, Hughes, McMahon and Ternant.
If Hollowhead came on after a game and did nothing but farted into their mic they would be rolling on the floor laughing saying what a wonderful character he is. Sure he can be funny but he can also be extremely tedious and they just lap it up.

It is quite clear that Andy Bayes and Phil Cunliffe do not like GW. Probably because he tries to belittle them when they ask a leading question or one that he can jump on as being over-negative.

I get the impression that Westley has little time for petty journalism and moronic questions. He usually gives the PNE Player interviewer very short shrift with his line of questioning. I don't blame him either.

Alas, I doubt this will come to pass for quite some time.

People can't be banned just because you don't like them and you can't be bothered to use the ignore feature.

You've changed your tune!!
Not really Danny, but that's how people can make it look by taking a few words completely out of context and making a post with them.
Conversely, Steve Cowell has changed tack though! He was sounding more like himself last night as observed by a number of people. As a PNE devotee he is quite listenable but as the self appointed spokesman for the anti-Westley league he was becoming tedious and needed telling.
You understand perfectly well what my point has been throughout this thread.

What an absolute twat you are, where has Surf EVER seen himself as a spokesman for the fans, you obviously have either never met Steve or understand the real passion he has for the club, how many games a season do you bother turning up for, did you set off for Exeter at 4.30am to drive the fans team down to Devon then have to play because you were players short, then give up your time AGAIN to help the with the summary then drive the fans team home!!!!!! and you piss your pants becuase he didn't bow down infront of Westley, well if you had been at Tranmere the Tuesday before perhaps you would have been as pissed off as Steve was.

I don't recall you having a problem with me when you were Shinny's assistant on his 'Invincibles' message board. You appear to have developed bitter fingers when posting nowadays. 😱
