GK on bench v WBA?

[Friend of Clowny]

Anyone know if we’ve recalled Pradic from Bamber Bridge or are going with youth goalie whoever that is?

[Andy higginson]

I’m sure they will recall pradic last time they only announced it on the morning of the game

James Pradic will be on the bench. Tommy Davis will likely replace him at Brig for the day, and Li-Bau Stowell should play for the u19s away at Rotherham

Cornell and Pradic. I never thought we'd see a worse combo than Iain Turner and Cardiac but we've somehow done it.

I fear the worse Yorkie…

Pradic is on the bench but David isn’t going brig they have another keeper lined up

Not surprised really. Don't think Davis will make it at that level tbh.

Stowell is the one I rate, but years away yet.

Unfortunately there’s no pathway at Preston for them to progress and develop if we rate these young players they should be at league clubs on loan

If Pradic was on loan at a league club, then we wouldnt have been able to recall him, thats one advantage of sending him out to a non league team

[Andy higginson]

True brig have just confirmed it and they have brought a lasher in

Sadly with Premier League clubs all having 5 or 6 keepers on their books nowadays there's zero chance of that happening, even if ours were good enough.

We might rate them, it is other clubs that also have to rate them as well and take them on loan. At the end of the day our youth team are playing against League 1 and 2 youth teams so why take one of our youngsters on loan when there youngsters will be of a similar standard they can develop and sell on.

None of these young players are good enough for league clubs. Look at Mawene, probably the standout and was in and out at midtable league 2 level before his injury

Not sure Lewis Leigh has started too many games for Bromley this year when I used to check.

You only need to look at where most of our released players end up to see they aren’t good enough.

Fully understand that we need to put the money in to our academy and developing players look at rovers there academy players Philips raya Wharton have gone on to do well and brought in good transfer money we need to invest in ours

True I remember Ben Davies going out to multiple clubs and did him the world of good they need to be playing regularly in a league side

[unconvinced]

Couple of traffic cones and a half eaten toffee crisp will be as much use.

Davies had already featured in our first team at the time though so clearly had something about him

Our current lot can’t even impress in training against a load of players out of form or not Championship level so they’re never going to attract good loans
