Sounds like Lonergan might be replacing Pollitt after all. Not sure about the logic of that, does feel a little jobs for the boys

Im no Goalkeeper but I can't see what this really changes. Its not going to make Iversen magically start finding white shirts.

Our 'keepers are 29 and 34, is there much more for them to learn.

Is it not just wasting money on paying off Pollitt to then pay for someone else's wages?

Realistically if he wasn’t called Lonners and he was just coaching women’s football nobody would suggest him or think he’d be a good pickup. It’s not one that’s going to inspire the players

However, if we are looking to bring back people and IF he is available after being Head of Academy Goalkeeping and a temporary stint as first team GK coach at Everton, then David Lucas would be a great appointment...

He came to my mind but I think he's permanent keeper coach for Everton 1st team.

Fair points but for all we know, Pollitt may not have bought into Alexander's overall philosophy or there may be a clash of personalities - who knows? It might not be solely about his coaching abilities, although it is concerning that our last 2 keepers seem to have gone backwards under his tutelage.

Seems an impossibility at this stage. The defence somehow looks even worse than under Heckingbottom.

1 goal easily turns into 4, with zero effort required from the opposition.

It's really impossible to say at the moment. He's had 3 games and 3 different defensive units. That back 5 has to be settled. Not GA's fault as there has been sendings off and injuries, but job 1 is stop shipping goals and that needs a settled defence first and foremost.

That's why I said IF.

With Premier League teams striving for perfection you never know when they might be looking to restructure, and with the Moyes connection it could be mutually beneficial to keep a good guy in employment..

Obviously, that's very 2+2=5 but stranger things have happened in football.

(It'll be TefLonners because he'll be cheap)

Are we planning on replacing this fitness coach before being mathematically relegated?
Or are we seeing if fitness improves with wishes and prayers?
...

They wouldn't have sacked these two unless replacements had been sorted.

You have far more faith in the club than I do.

Not a dig at JK or a 'told you so' because at times you think 'surely even we wouldn't do that' but low and behold here we are.

We are ran like a Channel 4 comedy sketch.

I suspect as well with goalkeeping coaches, they will probably all do the same training sessions or very similar like they do in the warm ups before games. The only benefit you could maybe see would be a different voice maybe having an impact for a few weeks
