I hope Ridsdale's experience will see that Brown and Horton are expensive flops and look to appoint a new manager. My tip for the new manager ( Should Ridsdale sack Brown ) would be the tried and trusted Dave Jones.
 
Nothing suprises me anymore about the running of our great football club the pathetic statement about this appointment just about sums up how inept the people running our club are!!
Peter Risdale nearly bankrupted Leeds..and Cardiff well we couldn't have appointed a better person could we?
Please don't say TH Knows what he is doing with his money....He appointed ML!! And DF has manager!!! HEMMINGS OUT ASAP THINGS HAVE GONE FROM BAD TO WORSE SINCE HE HAS TAKEN OVER....
I ONLY HOPE THIS IS A SHORT TERM APPOINTMENT WITH A VIEW TO OBTAINING AN INVESTOR....
A new regime is needed at deepdale and if Cardiff City can find one I'm sure Preston North End can too
But Dodgy..Peter Risdale as Chairman is deff not the way forward for our club..

His track record with Leeds and Cardiff is a worry. Plymouth sounded like a Red Adair challenge to be honest. But he does seem to stick around dodgy operations during their lowest ebb.

Welcome aboard Peter. It's just as crap here as it has been at Leeds, Cardiff and Plymouth.
 
If you read everybodys fears and hopes then this could be good for us ( i mean the supporters ) Lots of fans hate Hemmings and Lindsay ( me included ) But Ridsdale knows lots of people and must know investors too, so even if he's been briefed to sell us off whats the problem, nobody likes what we have now anyway.

Its a pleasure and pain situation. Let it roll and see what happens. COYW

How far down the list of the 92 league clubs would you get, before the realisation that it might be PNE dawned on you ?
 
He also messed up Leeds Education Authority before going into football.............. be scared, be very scared.....

Should be interesting times ahead , i hope he acts fast and pots Brown and he could do far worse than bringing in Dave Jones . Im quite looking forward to what he has to say for himself .

To be fair to Jones, he had success before he went to Cardiff but I think PrestonLad does have a fair point. He spent so much money at Cardiff that it's ridiculous that he didn't manage to get them promoted.
 
We need someone like him to give a bit of a positive feeling at the club.
Some people are never happy give the guy a chance you moaning buggers

Jones had a pot of money to spend over a long period of time, but he also had to let "Big Players" go, because Sam the Man, had basically loaded Cardiff with BIG debts. Ridsdale was brought into sort out debt, get new investment, bring players in, sell players to balance & build a new stadium. I think all in all They made a good team, but as usual football fans, even in Cardiff's position were very fickle. They wre playing in frony of 8000 when Jones arrived. They were playing in front of 20,000+ when he left. That tells you a story. You get the bigger picture, do you Mr MacDonald?
 
Looking at the positives .... he has no false tan, he has a surname that people keep spelling wrong resulting in a laugh or two, he says he is happy to be joining a Club with a great heritage

Looking at the negatives ..... (not sure where I start) but .... no, sorry, there aint enough space ..

Initial reaction was 'shit, no way'.

Weighing up all his pro's and con's, I now don't know how I feel!

Im certainly willing to give him a chance though.
